Upon checking into the room, I was immediately struck by the poor state of the accommodation. The room contained visible mould — both in the main area and bathroom — along with cracked and damaged bathroom tiles. These conditions are entirely unacceptable and far from the standard that was marketed and paid for.
Despite this, I attempted to make the most of my stay and assumed this may have been an isolated case. I then visited the hotel pool, only to find it in an appalling and unusable condition. The pool contained deep-rooted algae, raising serious concerns about the hygiene and safety standards upheld by your property. When I brought this to the attention of your staff, I was informed that maintenance might attend to it the following day — further confirming that no adequate routine maintenance is being conducted. (No maintenance ever came) This is not only disappointing, but entirely unacceptable, especially considering access to a functioning pool was a key factor in choosing this hotel.
Additionally, the room provided did not include the balcony that was clearly listed and paid for at the time of booking. I was informed that a "proper" room would be available on Tuesday — several days into my stay — which defeats the purpose of the reservation entirely. We were moved and the room was somewhat better but over was very disappointed in my experience. Only credit I can give is the staff were very lovely.
