Old hostel with Stinky Room

The room was supposed to be non smoking but the whole room smells like cigarettes. Have a very tall staircase before reaching the 1st floor for old fashioned elevator. Check in was at another building next to the Italian restaurants next door. Very inconvenient for people traveling with big luggages.

You can save lots of time if you are staying in this hotel(?), as the location is absolutely close to the central station and red light district. Highly recommended!!! IF you are looking for a standard service hotel, it would be an awful experience. Because the bed and bathroom is unbelievable small.

Only location acceptable

I booked 2 nights here because previous booking can't be confirmed by other hotel. To be honest I won't choose this hotel again. Single room is to small to turn around and no window to have wind flow. After I lived on night, I got sick because too hot And no fresh air. Terrible room space. But location is the best and close to everywhere.

Muchas escaleras no elevador

No hay elevador y hay muchas escaleras muy pequeñas, todavía hay una escalera chiquitita dentro del cuarto q es imposible subir con maleta Parece hostal No hotel, las fotos de los cuartos en la página son muy diferentes a la realidad, los techos del cuarto muy bajos y espacio súper reducido tres de mi familia se golpearon muy fuerte en la cabeza

TERRIBLE

Building is in desperate need of renovation. Smells horrible. Stairs to check in are steep and narrow. Don't bring heavy bags, as it will be a tight fit. Feels unsafe.

We were nervous arriving at this hotel as some reviews were horrific! We were delighted to find that the room and en-suite bathroom were absolutely spotless. Yes, the stairs are a bit grubby and *very* steep but so were every other stairs we came across in Amsterdam. Yes, the beds are probably narrower and closer together than some other hotels, but they were absolutely clean and combined with the fantastic location we were delighted at this find. Absolutely recommend it from our experience. We had a twin room.

Don’t stay here with a baby

The rooms are very tiny so it’s difficult to open the luggage. We had to change room since our first room had a big hole on one side. We travelled with two adults and one baby and they gave us a room on the second floor without elevator and very steep stairs, and also with only a queen size bed for the three of us. The hotel is also on a very busy street with lots of people just outside the door. Stairwell and hall smelled like weed from time to time. The staff was not fresh wearing soft clothes. I would not recommend this place

The hotel receptionist cheated me by taking additional local tax of 24 EURO although it was included in the accomodation fees. Please refund that money.
