A great family stay in Sultanahmat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. We had to switch hotels mid way through our stay in Sultanahmat. This hotel was really nice. Rooms were spacious. The attendants were very nice. The breakfast was very good. The terrace view and all room views of the water was very nice. Location was super convenient for everything near Sultanahmat. Would definitely come again.

We loved our stay at Ada Hotel and would definitely go back again. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the historic city centre with only a short part of the walk uphill. The view is amazing from either the breakfast room or one of the rooms with a sea view - over a mosque and looking out at the Sea of Marmara with the ships there. We also really liked the hot tub in our room, very pleasant after a long day of walking with lots of hills. The Turkish style breakfast was also excellent. I just wish it had started earlier that 8 am, but there was enough time to eat and get out to the sites when they opened (the start of the morning is quieter for visiting almost everywhere). No stay is perfect, so for full disclosure I will note that the calls to prayer from the mosque beside the hotel can be very loud and one is in the middle of the night (we did sleep through it with earplugs). Also there were some ants that appeared in the room a day or two into our stay. I don't know how common this is in Istanbul. Overall, I would recommend it, and I'd go back. It's worth paying for one of rooms with a sea view.

We Westerners should br realistic about speed and comfort possible in historic buildings in the heart of beautiful, safe, historic areas. As long as you can handle narrow stairs it is a great base for exploring without need of extra transit.

구시가지에 위치한 대부분의 호텔이 그러하듯 시설이 많이 낡았음. 그럼에도 최대한 보수할 곳은 보수하고 청결하게 유지하려는 모습이 보였음. 술탄아흐멧 광장에서 도보로 10분 정도 거리라서 관광접근성은 최고임. 조식도 기본에 충실하게 잘 나왔어요

Istanbul layover visit.

Location was excellent for walking to the big tourist sites. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of choices with an amazing 5th floor location for viewing the city and water. Was picked up and dropped off with an airport van for an extra charge.

Furchtbar

Das ganze Hotel stinkt nach billigem Bratfett. In der zweiten Nacht lief der Stromgenerator so laut, dass man nicht schlafen konnte. Das Frühstück ist einfach mit billigen Produkten. Der Orangensaft ist reine Chemie. Wir haben den Aufenthalt abgebrochen. Es war nicht mehr auszuhalten.
