The villa was so nice - the photos don’t do it justice. But it was the staff that makes this place extra special. Highly recommend Villa Sassolini for at least 2 to 3 night stay and to try the cooking class with Riccardo.

Fabulous small hotel. Great quality, beautiful view, garden and pool. Relaxing and great service. Restaurant is so good! It is clear that the hotel is managed by the owner. Everything is perfect down to the last detail.

The property is nicely renovated with modern rooms. We had a Classic room which was very small for two people with luggage. We were lucky only one of us had a suitcase, as we would not have been able to fit two suitcases. The quality of bed and pillows were great, but also the size of the bed was small. The bathroom lacked comfort, as it did not have an adjustable shower (the water came down from the ceiling), nor did it allow for shower gel/shampoo to be put in the shower. It had to be put on the ground, but with the pipes not properly working, there was too much water, so the products floated. All not hygienic. There was a note on the environment, but the room/bathroom did not allow to put the used towels somewhere to dry. All in all, not very useful. The staff was excellent. They were very friendly and helpful and the quality of the food was great.

A great honeymoon!

We stayed at the Villa Sassolini for our honeymoon, and it was wonderful. The entire hotel was gorgeous, if small. The food was fantastic. As was the shower! The hotel is not easy to get to, and definitely requires renting a car, but it's absolutely worth it.

Avis mitigé, un peu cher et loin de tout.

Belle maison de village, bien rénovée et décorée avec goût, avec un petit jardin terrasse où sont installés le restaurant et la piscine. Plusieurs reproches en revanche : le lieu bénéfice du label relais du silence mais n'est pas calme (musique toute la journée au restaurant et au bord de la piscine, personnel bruyant), le village est perdu, sans commerce ou presque, un peu loin des lieux à voir en Toscane. Du coup, le plus simple est de dîner sur place, ce qui s'ajoute à l'addition, sachant que le prix des chambre est un peu élevé pour l'endroit. Enfin, les patrons pourraient être plus sympathiques...

Stellar Villa in the Hills

Your search for a hotel in Tuscany should end right here. This place is truly phenomenal, from the staff, the location, the facility, etc. We had one of the suites overlooking the pool - every morning we woke up with that magical, sunny view across the hills. Sure, there is not a ton to do around the little village, but if you are looking to relax, this is perfect.

Ein schönes Objekt in herrlicher Lage mit hilfsbereitem Personal. Der horrende Preis ist jedoch bei weitem ungerechtfertigt. In dem selbst erkorenen "Luxus Boutique Hotel" gibt es Zimmerausstattung von Ikea, ein knarrendes Bett, lieblos angerichtete Abendessen im eigenen Restaurant und wartungsreife Mountainbikes inklusive. Das Frühstücksbuffet hingegen ist reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Der Ausblick ist grandios.

Das Hotel ist gut eingerichtet, aber es gibt eigentlich keinen richtige Aufenthaltsraum, alle Räume sind viel zu dunkel. In den Duschkabienen gibt es Schimmel ! Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht richtig. Auch ist es sehr beschwerlich das Hotel zu erreichen.

Beautiful villa located in the small village of Moncioni, outside of the town of Montevarchi. In the heart of stunning Tuscan countryside, the villa offers a secluded stay, amongst olive groves and vineyards. You will need a car! The village is approximately a 10-15 minute drive from the town of Montevarchi, where although there is a train station and taxi services, having a car will allow you the freedom of exploring this picturesque region. The villa itself is staffed by a wonderful team of friendly and helpful personnel, who will make your stay most enjoyable. The restaurant offers a diverse menu of rustic Italian dishes as well as contemporary faire. You can even take a cooking class with the chef, which is definitely time well spent, before enjoying your efforts for lunch! All in all, a fantastic and relaxing stay.
