If you are comfortable with the self-check in approach, using key codes to enter throughout your stay, this property should suit you fine. It's in a quiet location 5 mins walk from a vaporetto stop with lots of bars and places to eat within a few minutes walk, but quieter and more chilled out at night than the very busy areas of Venice. It's a good place to use as your base.

I asked for the code the day before when leaving Toronto, i did not receive the information and when we landed, our roaming did not activate so i was not able to reach anyone at the hotel with no service. Got lost several times and had to ask two people to use thier phones.

Little trouble finding it initially. We got lost in Venice for a minute but were able to locate it with Google maps. Host answered questions almost immediately using WhatsApp. Self checkin was easy. Slept quite well- bed was comfortable.

The staff at Antico Doge, the parent hotel, made our stay in Venice a success. GKK appears to have some nice rooms. Ours was renovated top Venetian style. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work and it was a bit muggy. Fans were already supplied, so I suspect it was a recurring problem, un repaired. Our room had no privacy to the road so the blackout drapes had to be kept drawn. The breakfast was the best, but we were happy to leave due to the air situation. We left our bags at Antico Doge and the kindly staff served us Cappucino. We would stay at Antico Doge next time as it was a top top place and staff made us feel very welcome. My wife was pleased with the genuine friendliness. Probably the non ground floor units at GKK would have been a better experience. The area is nice. Close to everything.

Great place for a romantic getaway
The room was as expected, exactly as seen on the photos. Very clean and comfortable. The hotel offers the option of complimentary breakfast, which we tried once and it was satisfying. We also had a small fridge and a Nespresso machine with coffee capsules, which was much appreciated. The only problem I encountered was a lack of iron, which was upsetting because it was or last 3 days in Europe and we wanted to look top shape, and not wrinkled all over. I liked the location, it is very central and close to all tourisic spots. Self check in was easy, and the hotel was very responsive to all messages. They respond in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place. I did not take any photos of the room or hotel overall since it was looking exactly as the photos you see on the website.

Frederico and staff were helpful. Breakfast was on time and was ok. Room was reasonable price because it has not been upgraded. Air conditioning was not robust and condenser leaked. Lighting was poor with only 2 fixtures. Bath is tiny. Did not realize we would have to carry suitcases to the interior of thd city over many bridges and steps to get there. Better to take a water taxi from train station. Bed was comfortable for two. Tub in middle of room does not work and there is a sign to not use it but it should be removed. Ok for young couple or 2 friends not counting on luxury.

Location was good. All goes down from there. There was no human contact at the property, not even voice call, everything is done by WhatsApp messages. Pictures are a lot better than the real thing. Room was simply four walls with a bed and a cupboard in it. Bathroom was a tiny room with sink shower and toilet. All very dated stuff. Safe was too small to fit a iPad. The door to the rooms are tough to open, there’s no noise insulation between rooms so you hear everything. Lighting is very poor and our bathroom light barely came on. Breakfast was offered in room, but nowhere to sit and eat it - so we had to sit on our beds to eat it. I wanted to leave after the first day, but I was told the general manager would be around the next morning. He/she wasn’t, they again contacted only by WhatsApp. Offered me a room in another hotel, but no assistance to move (we’re 2 adults and 2 young children with luggage, it’s not that easy to move around !), and also gave no warning about the time limit to which the room offer was available (only an hour or so). I was very close to leaving the last night to go to our next destination a day early, but the space was not available. I’m sure the management will reply with an explanation to everything, which I will not be allowed to respond to, but I promise this was a very poor accommodation and suggest that you look elsewhere. We paid approximately £250 per night, I don’t expect anything amazing for this, but I expected more than this place.

The hotel is centrally located, many restaurants, small shops, and churches, museums and other tourist attractions. What I missed inside the hotel was one room in which the luggage could be left, I was told to leave it at the entrance as they had no room for just luggage. The air conditioning inside the room did not work, making noise but no cold air. felt like i was sleeping in a sauna. very cozy and pleasant staff, good service. Cleaning of rooms every day as well as new towels and washing of bathrooms. got breakfast in the room as the hotel did not have a buffet, which I missed. it was very nice to have breakfast in bed/room, but I felt somewhat pressured to choose breakfast before midnight the day before. must also be very specific if you want small things such as butter, salt, extra drinks etc. I also wish there were some sockets by the bed so that you could charge your phone/tablet etc more easily. But the overall experience of the place was good. Would recommend as long as they have fixed the air conditioning.

This apartment was in a great location, but the room wasn’t taken care of very great. The air condition was leaking a lot so that we couldn’t put our clothes in the closet. The photos show a beautiful bathtub, I was disappointed to discover it was for decor only. Seems like an odd decor choice. Lastly, there was no iron and when I requested one they told me it was a safety measure to not have one. It is typical for a hotel to offer an iron so this seemed odd to me. The in-room breakfast was okay.
