Excellent vacation!

We just returned from an amazing 8-day stay at Paradisus Grand Cana, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! From start to finish, everything was seamless and relaxing. The highlight of our stay was definitely our incredible concierge, Leonela Calderon – she was truly exceptional! Leonela went above and beyond every single day – helping us plan our activities, arranging dinner reservations, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. She was kind, sweet, supportive, and consistently helpful – a true gem! The all-inclusive experience was exactly what we needed – stress-free and full of joy. We simply ate, drank, enjoyed the sun, the beach, the pool, and even had amazing massages. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our suite was spotless and spacious, and the pools were always clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to return – thank you Paradisus for giving us a vacation to remember!

Wish I had a better experience

The food in this resort is horrible! I got sent a raw burger 3 times! It always comes cold and nasty!!!! I went to the buffet and the waiter came up to my table and took out plates before being done with our food!! (The uncooked meats sits in its blood for hours until someone asks for it to be cooked on the grill)! (The bathroom was my best friend the first 2 days) Every time we went to make a dinner reservation she said no the restaurants were full, which is untrue because we walked by them and they weren’t!! The room was very nice! The hospitality not so much!! Overall I will not return to this hotel!!

Very nice, I'll be back.

Very nice resort. The room was amazing. Great food and service. Beautiful and comfortable for a family vacation w/ kids. The only issue I had was that there was a wedding at the resort and our room was next to one of the wedding guest and they always arrived late night, drunk and loud, and we can hear them loud and clear, even in private affairs! We called the front desk and they handle the situation (both nights). My recommendation to the property is that the start accommodating wedding guest next to each other so they won't bother other guests sleep.

Excellent hotel! Surpassed expectations. I don’t typically like all inclusive resorts, but we had a great time here. They had something for everyone! The gym, spa, multiple pools, waterpark, etc were all top notch! The staff were very friendly. Everyone was so helpful and always had a smile. There was a ton of variety in the restaurants and food. It was pretty good. So much to offer. I can’t believe the value we got. Would definitely return.

Lo positivo: el tamaño de las habitaciones (swim up suites), muy cómodas, buen servicio de limpieza, la gente que nos atendió fue muy amable en la mayoría de los casos Lo negativo: la comida. Estuvimos en todos los restaurantes y en el buffet. Ni siquiera los huevos fritos bien hechos. Después de estar una semana terminamos comiendo solamente pizza porque lo demas era realmente malo. También la distancia hacia la playa, que hay que ir en carrito de golf porque no queda muy cerca como para ir caminando con el calor. Igualmente el parque infantil de agua, que queda alejado del hotel. Solamente fuimos una vez por la distancia desde nuestra habitación o también en el carrito de golf. Fue uno de los motivos por el que reservamos el hotel y no lo pudimos aprovechar como quisimos. Recomiendo que la habitación no esté muy cerca al edificio de restaurantes porque en las noches se escucha la música de las actividades muy fuerte

As instalações do complexo são excepcionais e o staff muito atencioso, porém cabe uma ressalva relacionada a limpeza do nosso quarto. Nesse quesito, o hotel deixou a desejar devido a uma quantidade significativa de cabelos espalhados em diversas áreas do quarto (chão, pia, box do chuveiro, no vidro de shampoo, etc). Em resumo, mtos fios de cabelo espalhados pelo quarto para um hotel supostamente qualificado como cinco estrelas.

Hotel provided us the schedule of activities. But the schedule was suddenly changed and canceled without any notification. Even though my kids were waiting for it at place, no happen and no explanation and no notification. It was terrible.

Disparity between Melia resort concierge services

Friendly staff but the concierge experience is laughable in contrast to other Melia resorts and/or other resort experiences. The concierge essentially only is books dining reservations and the property makes this a requirement, so if you want a reservation during your stay you need this option. Our concierge was physically not even on site one day because she had classes! The extra cost of a cabana would have totally been worth it if the person assigned would have shown up more than once every 1 1/2 hours. Other than making the beds, housekeeping was horrible and didn’t replace towels, toiletries, clean floors, restock nespresso or clean bathrooms. At one point we found our balcony door was left ajar and I was eaten up by mosquitos that night. What was more absurd was that several separate people came to restock and lingered with an expectation to be tipped for replenishing what the housekeeping (who was tipped each day)should have standard replenished. The amount of times the pool was closed due to people’s little ones having accidents was ridiculous but not the properties fault, although after the second time being the same kid you’d think the staff would have said something! Surprisingly the beach vendors were no where as near as aggressive as expected in contrast to reviews and have travelled to Jamaica and Bahamas in the past, they were friendly and humble.

My family and I enjoyed the hotel stay. It’s beautiful hotel. The architecture is beautiful and our master suits were very spacious. The food was tasty and their variety was very good , however the food was always cold. No luck in eating hot food if you get to the buffet by 8pm. They were nice enough to heat it but it was an inconvenience. My biggest issue was the distance to the beach. Sigh. I’m a big beach lover. But walking a mile to go to the beach wasn’t fun at all. Yes, they had cart driving back and forward. But an inconvenient. The beach is beautiful. Clean. The staff were okay. The staff in the buffet were excellent. Very nice and friendly. The biggest problem was permitting transportation come in to pick us up. They have a policy in place that the request to permit someone to enter need to be make within 24hrs. So we have to be transported to the entrance because they didn’t permit our transportation to enter. So stupid because it was only to be pick up as we weren’t asking to register anyone to enter the hotel per say. So we left the hotel very upset and no one was able to accommodate us. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and our stay. The pool and water park for the kids were very clean.
