Stayed here for a couple of nights in a double twin room. Would certainly recommend! Though you can tell the building itself is a bit on the older side, the furniture and hotel itself is well kept and updated. Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived early. Hotel breakfast was good as well! Walking distance of everything in Galway. Would stay here again.

The assigned room was literally down a maze of a 4 th floor corridor and up 2 additional flights of stairs. Room was extremely hot and the window only opened approximately 3 inches allowing little to no air circulation. On 2nd night, there was a water break and caused water outage in the entire city block. Clearly not much hotel could do, but this just added to subpar conditions. Sweaty and no ability to shower prior to checking out to face a near 12 hour journey home.

We were given a (there are 4 of these) poky little room behind the bar/restaurant. Absolutely not what I was expecting given the cost of the room per night. These rooms look out into a sort of garbage area and a parking lot for scooters, bikes, etc. But this is also where hotel employees (?), hostel residents come out on their breaks and smoke and speak rather loudly. I also got bitten by bed bugs. We changed our plans and decided to leave a day early. After writing a review on hotels.com, they did give us another room. But it was too late by then.

If you're looking for a place to spend a quick night while passing through Galway, this would be a good spot. Centrally located, really easy to get to major sights with a few minutes walking. You pay for location, I guess, but this one was not worth the price. The room was small, definitely shouldn't have had a queen bed + a twin squeezed into it. It was poorly laid out, the bed wasn't really comfortable, and don't get me started on how ridiculous the design of the bathroom was. Nothing major wrong with the room, but for almost $300USD + parking, you expect to be more comfortable. Really disappointed in this one.

Galway is easily my favorite place I’ve ever been to, and being able to stay right in the square was perfect. We really appreciated the look of the space as well as service. It was unseasonably warm (72F and sunny!) during our stay so the room did get a bit warm and stuffy, but staff was able to provide a fan for us to place in front of the window and that helped. Will definitely plan to stay again!

Eyre square hotel is so close to both bus and train station. There is a shop across the road from it if you have forgotten something or are feeling peckish. Within walking distance to lively pubs and restaurants.

Great spot. The location was perfect and easily walkable from the train station and to the main bar and shopping area. Hotel staff was friendly. Check in nice and smooth. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had breakfast included and food was good with traditional Irish options
