All around disappointment.

I rented a total of five hotel rooms for a business conference. I had hoped to impress my team. But instead, they lost most of our gift bags that they promised to put in the rooms. And had abominable customer service at the front desk. My room had a leaky toilet and a shower that didn’t work very well. Also, the hotel bar, which is half the appeal of this property was under construction, which was not published anywhere add all that frustration and disappointment to trying to resolve with the manager, whom has not returned a phone call or email since my stay. So much for trying to resolve it the old-fashioned way and give people a chance Before you write a poor review.

Expensive, beautiful but not necessarily worth it

There are a lot of hidden fees. We were staying on the 12th floor and our view was the side of a building and a parking lot. The staff was helpful. The room was clean. The gym was tiny. We go drinks at the Prohibition. It was the best old fashion I have ever had (Simon is a wonderful bartender). But it was $80 for 2 drinks. It's a great location. We walked to most of the places we were visiting. The beds are so comfortable. Honestly the rooms are a lot smaller than I thought they would be. It was almost as much as I pay for a month of rent. I was looking at pictures online and they are a little misleading. Most of their pictures are of the suites. I think next time I am going to see what is cheaper. To me personally, the price was more than it was worth. That said, my girlfriend disagrees. She thought it was amazing. Do your own research. But please realize there are so many hidden fees. They have full size bottles of Momo shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are 2 full size bottles of lotion. All of which are in the mid double digits. Their welcome bottle of wine is not complimentary for the room. And I never saw a list of what anything in the mini fridge costs. If you are offered anything just know non of it comes with the room. I'd say 7/10 overall. We took a video of the room but no pictures that can be shared. But I am attaching our Prohibition drinks, as it was the highlight of the stay.

App issue

The issue I had was with Hotels.com itself. I didn’t receive a confirmation email regarding my reservation. The app said I didn’t have a reservation so I made a second reservation. Again, the app said I didn’t have one and I didn’t receive a confirmation email. When I checked in, I had two reservations. I couldn’t talk to a person to rectify the issue.

Average at best

Try and get extra coffee, or a coffee cup or even a toilet role. Good luck. Took four deliveries to get coffee and two new throw away cups for our in room coffee. Door man is too busy talking to the wheel cleaning guy outside to open the door or say hello. Forget the guy to help you with bags from the room ti the foyer he does not turn up.

Nice enough hotel. Undergoing refurb so many areas out of action including viewing platform which was the reason we booked it. Disappointing. Gym is as very small & not many machines. Staff were good though and informal cafe was nice. Aim restaurant at was exorbitant & not worth visiting. Over $100 for a steak!!

I’ve always loved staying at the W Foshay for a stay-cation. This time was a bit disappointing as I got the Fantastic Suite as a bday treat for myself and there were a few things broken/needing attention in the room that left us feeling less than satisfied. There were a few other details that the W is missing the mark on, but will include only the bigger misses here. Disappointments: Excited about the rain shower, but there was only luke warm water, not hot!! The automatic blinds in the bathroom were broken, which as a result let light into the bedroom in the morning and we need dark. The mini fridge was not cold at all. Enjoyed: The other black-out shades throughout the suite. Bathtub was the main draw to book this room and did not disappoint! Bed was comfortable!

The hotel is very run down and under construction . Many amenities were not open ( roof top observatory and bar) The rooms were nice but front desk service and valet was not good.
