We arrived a hour and a half early for our stay. We were allowed to check in early because they had a room clean and ready. When we walked into the room it had a wet/damp smell. The elevator got stuck twice while we were there. The breakfast was cold. This LaQuinta is not like the others that I stayed in.

Good evening. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Wyndham hotel in Birmingham. I will begin by acknowledging the few positive aspects of the room, including the functional television, iron, microwave, bathroom lights, shower, and hot water. However, the negative aspects of my experience significantly outweighed the positives. Regarding service, the elevator was out of order, and I was assigned a room on the third floor. The ice machine on the third floor was also non-functional, necessitating a trip to the second floor for ice. Furthermore, a fire alarm was triggered, and upon contacting the front desk, I was informed that a toaster had caught fire. While the maid service was adequate, the room itself had a musty and dusty odor. To mitigate the unpleasant smell, we had to use air fresheners. I strongly advise against recommending this hotel to others. The elevator has reportedly been out of service for several weeks, despite claims that the issue is recent. Additionally, the exterior grounds were in need of maintenance. I regret booking this room, especially considering the limited availability of accommodations in the area due to the Kappa convention. My recommendation is to either avoid thi

The hotel has a musty smell. The elevator was not in service. I asked my room to be moved from 3rd floor to 1st. They didn't have any so he moved to the 2nd floor. Two towel in my room was dirty. Breakfast was horrible. I didn't enjoy my stay this hotel. The late night clerk has a nonchalant attitude.

The tub had dirt and hair in it when we arrived. The elevator did not work had to carry bags up to 3 rd floor. The food was so nasty looking none of us ate it and did not bother to eat it the next day either. I will never stay in another La Quinta especially for what I payed it cost me extra money having to eat somewhere else and I’m not happy with that ruining my budget on a trip. Gross white sausage that was under cooked.

We were not the elevator didnt work until we paid and got our keys in our hand. We were on 3rd floor. 2 adults and 2 kids. pool closed and woke up to fire alarm blaring , not a good stay overall

The elevators were broken, the pool was temporarily closed, the room was not ready at check in, there were not enough towels in the room for the people on our reservation. The towels were visibly stained. The sheets were not clean, there was hair on the sheets when you pull them back. We were lied to about being able to get more towels. We had to go to Target to buy towels

Everything felt clean, no problem. But my room was missing a remote, and the blankets were super thin and not very comfortable. I'd also recommend bigger coffee cups, but I still enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

Overall decent hotel - just older and needed some repair. Sheets were clean but very old and worn - were so thin in spots that they looked stained and dirty but when you checked it was just worn through in spots. We just requested extra sheets and put them on top of the worn out ones to make sure they were clean. The price compared to other similar hotels seemed fair but with the sheets and updates needed it should have been a little less. Overall okay stay for a one night stop.

The front desk staff when i checked in the evening was very friendly, he helped me with something after i checked in, very clean lobby, the room was clean and comfortable. I was very happy with my stay and felt safe There were no tables outside to sit, that was disappointing. Breakfast was lacking. waffle machine yes, some hot meats, cereals not great, coffee not great
