Great Experience!

The front desk was so very friendly and the place was so clean! It is very close to one of Lake Michigans beaches. The continental breakfast was good and hot every morning. The indoor pool was warm and not freezing cold. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

Very nice change of pace.

This place was beautiful. It was a welcome change from the traditional chain hotels. The location was great for our stop at the Indiana Dunes Nat'l Park. We only stayed one night, but knowing now how nice and quaint it was, I wish I had booked it for 2 nights. It did have a restaurant in the same area. We weren't really impressed with our meals, but that's just more of a personal taste/preference. The restaurant is separate from the Inn so that isn't any negative reflection of the Inn itself. It was beautiful.

A wonderful experience.

Great place to stay near the dunes and lake. Easy to get almost anywhere in the area. Can walk across the parking lot to get to Uno Pizza. The continental breakfast includes a waffle maker, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt and pastries. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful stay and will definitely include this hotel when I return to the area.

Woodsy experience

Awesome location in the woods, like the rustic style lodge overlookibg the woods. Bring binoculars to look for wildlife in back. They have some nice swinging chairs and a fire pit.

Nice atmosphere. Quiet area really makes you feel that you've gotten away. A little wear on some furnishings and trim but it actually added to the charm. Bed comfortable. View out the window nice. Outside seating areas would be great in warmer weather. Pizzeria Uno co-located with hotel. Speakeasy bar. Both nice. Live entertainment. Great pizza.

Nicer than in the photos

This property is much nicer than in the pictures. It has the warmth of a lodge that you can't get at a chain hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. It is near the interstate, but in a nice wooded area. Porter and Chesterton are just diwn the road for food and shopping, and the National Park is across the street.

Very quaint with a lot of charm. The view of the ravine behind was peaceful. We loved the in-room jacuzzi. The walls are rather thin, though, and we could basically hear the neighbors' conversations. We really liked the breakfast dining hall, but the food could be better. Overall, it was a lovely stay and everyone was very kind.
