2/10 Poor

Room was awful - there was a big hole in the window frame to outside, the windows frames were covered in mold, the window was broken so couldn’t keep it open. The furniture was old, creaky and worn - they’re was damp patches on the walls. They were no bath towels and no breakfast when we went down

Mediocre Accomodation

Convenient for my work. The hotel is extremely tired and understaffed. The Hotel could and probably has been a very palatial house.

Loved it...would come back in a heartbeat

Great staff, good dinners, good breakfast, charming rooms with redone bathrooms. Great character and historic interest. If you have a car well located to some charming sites and villages.

Pleasant stay

Good facilities on sight and food in restaurant was delicious. We had afternoon tea which was very nice. Rooms were nice and spacious. We stayed in one of the garden view rooms. Rooms were nice although slightly dated.

This hotel like lots of others of the same age are a little tired in places. Having said that it was perfectly clean & the staff were polite & friendly

Lovely hotel in its heyday! So sad to see it rather run down. The staff are excellent and probably spend a fair bit of time apologising for the things that are not working or not available. Come on owners help your staff!

The property is set in a vast land, that enable guests to go for long walk, within the compound. The building is beautiful and you can see the allure, from years gone by. The building need a bit of sprucing up, to reflect it statue.

Windows in the bedroom and bathroom were very dirty, the hotel is very “ tired “ and needs a lot of money spending on it.

Breakfast was absolutely terrible - they ran out of food! Also, staff shortage!
ADRIANOS, 1-night trip

Property was impressive from outside. Inside it was pretty run down and musty. Staff at the pool was very nice. It would be nice if pool would work loner-it closes at 8pm.
Alexandra, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Hotel was in a good location for what we needed. The hotel is quite tired looking but our room was clean. The wedding music was very loud until 11pm. The breakfast was nice but limited. We preferred Saturday morning as it was cooked to order rather than the Sunday morning buffet. We didn’t use the pool or gym so I can’t review. The staff were lovely and helpful.
Faye, 1-night trip

A nice stay

We had a very nice stay for one night. We would definitely come again. The breakfast was excellent, relaxed, with very good service. The room was a little bit tired and the lighting somewhat too dim for our elderly eyes. And the TV remote could not make the TV work so we resorted to the buttons on the base of the screen. The sky box was fine.

Disappointed stay

Beautiful hotel on the outside and lovely grounds but very disappointed with a very tired hotel on the inside Needs to be updated urgently including the leisure facilities And I was asked for full payment when I 1st turned up But on a positive note, the staff were lovely Would I stay here again, NO

Nice hotel in a lovely location

Normally I like staying at the Haughton Hall. This visit I was given Room 29. Unfortunately this room is starting to look a bit tired. However, the main issue is it seems to be right above the kitchen so gets noisy from before 6:00am. The TV / Sky combo system in the room didn't work to start with also. Evening dining was fully booked on arrival so learn from my mistake and book your evening meal in advance!
