Staff were happy to deal with a couple of requests re changing the duvet and pillows to non feather/down filling and they had pre-installed a dog bed and bowl, which saved me another trip to the car thankfully. Comfortable, well equipped and dark bedroom. Very nice public areas and staff

Friendly location

The breakfast was buffet help yourself. It was a good selection of cooked and continental. The broom was a great size and the bed was really comfortable. The Pool and leisure facilities were very good.

Prebooked dinner but on arrival, we were told restaurant fully booked with a wedding. Room was uncomfortable as heating seemed to be have 2 settings..inferno or ice age. Bathroom smelled of damp as no extractor. This hotel will go in our Never Visit again bucket.

We have stayed here many times before and always enjoyed our stay. However this time when we checked in there was a power cut and we were informed that they were hoping for it to be restored at any time. 2hrs later still no power and no lights or running water in the rooms. Reception staff offered us a refund and to be sent to another hotel but we refused as the hotel suggested was a half hour drive in rush hour traffic and they couldn’t guarantee a room for us. So we stayed as my partner had chosen this hotel for the amenities even though we were unable to use them. Another couple who did decide to leave told us that power cuts have happened before at this hotel . Thankfully the bar staff let us know that the power was back on around 8:30 pm,so we could at least shower before bed. The room was nice but very stuffy even though we opened the windows we struggled to sleep both nights. Food was tasty but lukewarm.

Very comfortable hotel close to Winchester

A well run, efficient, friendly hotel with very pleasant well trained staff. Hotel pool and gym in excellent order, as was the rest of the hotel. Some bedrooms are reserved especially for those of us with dogs, with doggy waste bins in the grounds. Will definitely return here.

The Norton is a beautiful place set in amazing countryside. The staff were friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the pool area.
