Comfortable and impressive

We stayed in a room that is more spacious than average ones. Clean and tidy. Staff are very polite and hospitable. Buffet style English breakfast is served, and quite tasty. The kitchen even takes simple orders to suit your needs. Guests can also use the pool and gym for free, which is rare for many hotels. Lots of parking spaces. The only concern is that the room has no air conditioning. During a summer day it could be rather hot and stuffy.

Quite over-priced!

Very average hotel for the money paid. The Wifi kept dropping out, despite the fact that I was in a room very near to the reception. The hotel didn't do much to rectify this issue. The rooms need a good refresh/upgrade. A fridge in the room would have been a nice touch. The room had no blinds, and the curtains wouldn't close all the way, which left a gap in the middle.

Friendliness and good food

All the staff are wonderfully helpful and kind. This is especially appreciated as my friend and i are in our 80s and we do someone need assistance. The roast duck we ordered was excellent too!

Not good value

I wouldn’t stay here again, if for no other reason than the parking and physical access to the building. Having mobility issues, I need, if possible, a blue badge parking space, and for a property that size, the number of spots is woefully insufficient. It really should be named leisure centre (gym) and hotel, as the majority of the people there are using those facilities, and parking spaces. The room was so tiny that we were unable to bring in anything larger than one small carry on bag each, and also so small that we had to put one case on the table, and move the mini sized chair to a corner to put the other case on. Otherwise, we would have been unable to walk from the further bed to the bathroom. On the plus side, the Sunday beef roast was amazing.

A nice hotel, the room was immaculate. Lovely hot water, the pool was well maintained. Staff were pleasant. There were lots of food places a 5 minute walk away, along with cinema and activities for children. I could not fault my stay.

Room Size

Hi nice hotel, breakfast was nice and they had a good ranger, the use of the pool and sauna was great, but as it is also open to the public is busy, (its a leisure centre/gym with a hotel) clean, the only thing is I had a small double room well its a good thing we a both small as the bed was not a double size, I understand the room being small but the bed was more a small queen size. bed. would same again but not in the small more if there is 2 of us. FREE PARKING GREAT

Fantastic Staff

Disappointed

It didnt feel like a hotel, more of a leisure club with rooms. Large carpark but very few available spaces with so many people going into the gym. Pool area was very busy so didnt get to try.

Disappointing hotel

Expensive room for what is a tiny space. Clean and good quality bedding but for the cost was disappointing in size. Hardly any room around the bed, no air con. The leisure facilities seem ok. It as it’s a full stream of members it’s just too busy for hotel guests. The restaurant is awful. Food was good but very limited menu and eating area is in a soulless bar, no ambiance. Expensive stay for what it is

Nice place

Everything is great here. The only issue we had was that the bathroom door has windows where you can literally see into the bathroom giving absolutely no privacy what so ever.
