A very pleasant stay in a nice and quiet area, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of good options. The staff were friendly, welcoming and service‑minded throughout the stay. The room had a good size, was comfortable, and everything was clean. Overall, a great experience

What a great 6 days stay. Lovely historic hotel maintained exceptionally well. Long history of being a hotel and the neighborhood had wonder restaurants and independent shops. The staff was very friendly, we loved the small ‘pub’ bar for a nightcap and breakfast was excellent too. Our new fav London hotel.

This is a lovely hotel, very quirky and yet traditional. The decor is gorgeous, public rooms are great with all sorts of area to relax in. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The traditional breakfast served at the table was very civilised. Two criticisms though: when I booked in I was given a sheet to sign with someone else’s name and e mail address. Most importantly no air conditioning in the bedroom which was absolutely sweltering. I would definitely go back if they put air conditioning in the rooms.

We checked in then after seeing the room, checked straight out again. Upon arrival, we were told that they only had a room without air conditioning. We went to the room only to find that the bathroom had not been cleaned. Dust and hairs on the toilet as well as in the bath. We asked for a refund which they have, and the. We went to another hotel. Definitely would not recommend this hotel

My go-to London hotel! The location is central and walkable to so many cultural sites, and you feel like you are truly in England rather than an American chain hotel. The windows open and the shower was not cramped. The bed and linens are high class. There are several quiet common rooms, a restaurant and a bar on site.

Imagine checking in and being told that your room has no air con and it’s almost 40 degrees centigrades outside. No info upon reservation and a 425 pound bill. The room has a fan, I was told. This was a really miserable customer experience - you can’t charge rates like this when your establishment does not have the conditions to be priced as such. It’s a rip off. Never again will I set foot in this place.
