When I booked, nobody told me there would be a wedding at the hotel that day. Because of that, one of the pools was closed and we couldn’t enjoy all the facilities. I complained but nothing was done to make up for the inconvenience. Breakfast was great. The cleaning could’ve been better — the bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned. The place itself is super nice, but the lack of communication really hurt the experience.

Beautiful location and facilities. The apartment we stayed in was good but I little dark. Staff were almost all excellent one or two less helpful. Not very nice to see staffs dogs being taken to do dog business on the tennis court the day we were planning to play tennis. Not a good look. Staff around main pool excellent.

A wonderful hotel in a fabulous setting. The hotel is well laid out with well kept rooms and facilities. The pool area and restaurant are great, the breakfast buffet too! In too of all this, the staff are the most helpful and friendly I’ve ever known. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in or near Fiskardo.

Well located beautiful resort

After a shaky start involving an “upgrade” to an inferior room (declined ) we came away from a five night stay with good memories of the Emelisse. It is well laid out across a headland next to the picturesque town of Fiskardo. We had a room with shared pool access (recommended) which was spacious, clean and private. The resort has an impressive swimming pool for all guests as well as one just for adults in a separate quiet area. A small pebble beach with stunning water is a short walk away. Breakfast is excellent. The restaurant provides reasonable lunch and dinner offerings and there are many dining options at Fiskardo (accessible via shuttle at lunchtime and in the evening). Staff are lovely and service is generally very good. If you book a trip to Kefalonia, you should see this part of the island and you should stay at the Emelisse if you do.

A ‘nice’ resort with a spectacular pool area. Restaurant is good, while buffet breakfast is decent but no a la cart available. Main issue with the resort is parking. If you arrive by car expect to park outside on the roadside. Checkin was the most awkward experience ever when trying to enter the main entrance getting told there is no parking and told needed to wait on the roadside for buggies to collect you and your bags to reception. Rooms are decent size but bathrooms a bit disappointing with small basins and little room for toiletries. Decor is a bit ‘meh’ but functional. Balcony and view was spectacular for our dual room family suite. Overall not a 5 star to me but about 4.5 … could be really good but let down in some simple areas, perhaps due to sale of day passes to casual visitors.
