All the staff is very helpful, nicely, kindly and sweet. The room is bit, maybe I booking family room, the bed is sooooo big. If I come again, this is my first choice to booking again.

Great location for a Swansea Centre gig night (thank you Manics, you were amazing as always). Room (401) was functional but tired decor wise...the mattress was softer than I'm used to but the night was very quiet and that supported a decent night's sleep. Breakfast was tasty, particularly excellent sausages. The one (of two) functioning lifts wasn't functioning on Sunday morning - those four flights toting a full trip bag was a pain but manageable for this 69 year old...other guests at breakfast might have found it more problematic.

Love the 1950’s charm of this hotel, chose to stay here over the premier inn because of that - love the staircase and the nod to past grandeur. The staff are all super friendly and professional which is really appreciated. I want impressed with the wedding party staying at the hotel who felt it appropriate to run through the corridors shouting all night, I hope they found “Wayne” who was clearly lost and in need of finding, so desperate were his friends to locate him that they felt the need to knock on every door at 2am whilst shouting for him. Kind of ruined the vibe and destroyed what was promising to be a good nights sleep.

Hotel was ideal for our stay! Parking and breakfast reasonably priced. Staff on arrival, breakfast and departure were very friendly and helpful.

I messaged the hotel requesting an earlier check-in, they replied through this app stating an additional charge of £30 but I didn’t get this until I arrived. I asked at reception 1pm, was told in no uncertain terms and abruptly that it would be 3pm when I could check-in. This from the (I assume the duty manager), who spoke to me at breakfast the following morning, re my concerns re the cleanliness and the extremely dated furnishings, he shared with me that the hotel was being refurbished soon. I shared photographs via email and in person at reception around 6pm (pics to follow). The plus points were that reception staff seemed to be sympathetic, the breakfast was good and the bed linen was clean. The said manager, when speaking seemed an ok guy, even though his total lack of effort in even attempting to get me into my room sooner than 3pm had already disappointed, not even an attempt at trying, and after a 4 hour drive would have been nice. This hotel is listed as *4 honestly it’s a *2 at best.

My stay with the dragon hotel is one of the best experiences I’ve had staying in a hotel.. The staff where absolute high class in there level of professionalism and very friendly also didn’t make you feel uneasy or unwanted there.. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the vicinity and I will definitely be staying here again 10/10

Hotel is located perfectly in the middle of Swansea with everything you’d need around you. Unfortunately the property is definitely showing its age. We had wrinkled carpets and a broken sofa in our room. Luckily it was just a base overnight while we did other things, but for a longer stay I wouldn’t have been happy about it. The hotel is really just showing its age and is ready for a refit.

Despite thanking customers for comments, its evident that this hotel does little to address it warn, dated condition. Old stained carpets, damp smell, shower hot water that does not work, toilet that does not flush normally (needs pumping), non working air fans, generally warn surfaces and non-extent pool, combined with £10 parking charge for customers. Otherwise its a good location, which desperately needs some money spent on it. Clean bed linnen.
