The staff here wins all the awards! Had an amazing stay and even when I messed my reservation up, they accommodated me and did so in the most gracious way possible. If my son chooses college in the area, we’ll be regulars for sure!

We enjoyed our stay at Carter House. The bartender made us mocktails because we didn’t want the options that they had. I was also able to charge our EV at no cost. Location is very convenient for Eureka.

We woke up at 1:30 am to the sound of homeless men rummaging in trash cans, just outside the parking lot fence, with bright flashlights. Lots of glass bottles dropping into metal dumpsters.

The hotel is located in the old town and very well kept Victorian style bed and breakfast place.
The hotel staffs was very kind especially,Troy couldn’t do enough for us.
Breakfast was great and dinner at 301 restaurant was excellent. The testing menu was just great in terms of the price, quality and presentation.

Lots of transients about the neighborhood. The facilities were lovely but noisy due to traffic and non insulating windows. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Didn’t explain that our room was not in main building. That’s a problem, there’s no elevator, so you need to carry luggage up front steps.

Beautiful Victorian in all the modern conveniences. Great location to see the redwoods and other interesting sites. Breakfast were amble and delicious and we had a dinner one night that was also very good. Staff was friendly and welcoming and helpful. Only issue was housekeeping was substandard. Otherwise an outstanding place to stay in Eureka.

I lived in Eureka when the Carter Inns were built. I have always enjoyed staying there when I visit. The staff is very attentive. The linens are lovely. It was very noisy. The walls seem very thin. But the positives still out way the negatives.

There was no enough parking for our vehicle at night and we had to park on the street with lots of homeless about. The toilet kept getting stuck and wasting water. The staff in the breakfast room and front desk were nice, but needed help during the busy breakfast and afternoon check in times.
