Beatrice welcomed us and gave us a map of New Orleans, showing us how to navigate the trolley system. Being able to park our rental car in a secured spot was great! The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful, fresh and delicious. We enjoyed hearing stories about the antiques in the dining area, the history of the house, and the names of the streets in the neighborhood. Nearby was an EV charger by a park with beautiful live oak trees. I'd definitely stay there again.

We had the best stay at the Fairchild and highly recommend it over the mess of conglomerate hotels and chains in New Orleans! It's a one-of-a-kind family run business with a type of charm that is inimitable. Beatriz, the owner and manager, was lovely and welcoming, chatting with us over delicious breakfast she put out each morning downstairs and sharing her favorite spots in town for po' boys and pints of beer. She's lived in New Orleans almost her entire life and gave us so many great tips. The house is Victorian-style, built in 1814, and it's both held onto its old beauty and also been maintained and updated so that it felt clean and comfortable. It's in a fantastic location and on a quiet street. The four-poster bed was such a treat to sleep in. Thank you Beatriz and team - we'll be back again!
