The day of the hotel stay I was left with a message that said they didn't have a pet-friendly room for me. I wasn't able to check my messages since I had been driving all day through spotty reception and really bad weather. When I got to the hotel, I was informed of the unavailability of the pet friendly room and that they were completely booked. I was surprised since I made the reservation and pet request almost a month ago. The lady at the desk (I.Khan) was very nice and informed me that they can give me the jacuzzi room which is usually "pet-free". I appreciated that, but it shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. I've never had a conflict like this before. Every other hotel on hotels.com has been able to accommodate my request for a pet-friendly room without any issues. (I noticed during breakfast there was a large tour group, so they might have overbooked and given my reserved room to someone there). The room was somewhat clean except for areas of the shower which seemed to have hair and debris left. The toilet was flushing all night. The breakfast is very subpar. There was plenty of parking. The cleaning lady, the young woman who helped with breakfast, and I.Khan were very nice. But, this is a hotel that I will be avoiding for future trips.
