We needed a hotel for 1 night as we were coming into town for the Harry Potter exhibition. We specifically wanted a hotel with a pool and breakfast. When we arrived, we were told the pool was unavailable because their maintenance person hadn't shown up for 3 days. We were then told it would be good to go in the morning, but come the morning, it wasn't going to be open until 10 AM, which doesn't work for people who have to be checked out by 11. We needed to be able to be done swimming by 10 so we could get ready to leave. Then the breakfast was ridiculously sparse. There was one waffle maker, 2 types of cereal, some packaged muffins, bread for today, and 2 choices of fruit cups. Of course everyone wanted waffles, so it took forever since there was only one waffle maker. The staff here were either dressed in regular street clothes or scrubs, and were frequently hanging out with their friends. Very unprofessional, honestly. The only good thing was the room. It was spacious and clean. It has motion sensor lights, which are nice for entering the room, but not good for going to the bathroom at night when others are still sleeping.
