When I arrived, the staff were unable to check guests in because their "system wasn't processing credit cards." I explained that I already paid through hotels.com but they weren't able to get me my room. I only had 45 minutes between events at the conference i was attending, so it was really disappointing as i had been up traveling since 4 am. There were half a dozen guests who were also waiting. The staff were friendly and kind, but they were obviously overwhelmed by such an issue. Then once they were able to check me in, I rushed up to my room, now late for the dinner and upon opening the door, the room was full of construction materials and not in any condition to check in to. So then I had to go back to the desk, explain the situation and get a new room. Only to rush back out the door to drive across town for a dinner I was already late to. Not a great experience.
