Wonderful stay

Great stay at the Sheraton- beautiful hotel in Porto with excellent service. Sheets were constantly cleaned for us and towels replaced. They brought my wife a chocolate cake and a bottle of champagne for her birthday! They also have an amazing bar and restaurant downstairs- recommend the espresso martini and crème brûlée.

There is a pool but children are only allowed to go to the pool from 1pm to 7pm. It also costs 20€ per person if we only want to use the pool. Things in the room feel very “used” not dirty but scratches on a lot of things. Stains on the bathroom vanity it definitely needs to upgrade. Did not feel like a 5 star hotel.

Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa staff was very kind and accommodating. The front desk staff was very helpful in helping us booked a very good full day wine tasting, sight seeing, and boating trip as well as a 1/2 day city and wine cellar tour. Very happy with our stay at the Sheraton Porto.

When we checked in, we were greeted by Glauber de Freitas. From our check in he commented that it was soon my wife’s birthday. We didn’t think much of this and asked about local dining options that met our dietary requirements. He suggested a great restaurant that we enjoyed very much. This trip was a celebration for my wife. We had a day trip planned for the actual day. When we returned, we found a gluten free cake and chilling sparkling wine in our room. The gesture capped off a perfect day. Glauber left a beautifully handwritten card wishing my wife a happy birthday and reassured us that everything met our dietary restrictions. We forgot that we shared all this information with him, but he didn’t. This gesture made our stay beyond extraordinary.

Everything you would expect from the Sheraton / Marriott group. Love how spacious and clean the room was. Do note that you will rely heavily on affordable Uber rides for your commute since there isn’t public transport nearby - Uber drivers are super friendly in Porto! We had room service for breakfast on one morning, which honestly was the only unfortunate negative as it tasted very mediocre.
