Great overall, laundry service is terrible

Overall, the stay was good. The room had a couple small cosmetic issues, but nothing that really matters. It's almost impossible to get anyone to answer the Sun Club phone extension. Consierge will answer regularly, but if you're a Sun Club member, they refer you to Sun Club again. My only serious conplaint was about laundry service. There is a $100 USD deposit on laundry service and the balance is credited to you once the service is done. After I paid the deposit, the service wasn't picked up for over 24 hrs and the Sub Club phone calls went unanswered. I had to take my laundry to the Sun Club for them to take to laundry. ANOTHER 24 hours later, I had to go back to the Sun Club desks because the calls went unanswered again. Housekeeping wasn't answering for them, so I was told to wait longer. "Nothing more can be done". Laundry was returned after 10pm. My laundry credit wasn't mentioned at checkout, I had to ask about it. They took my email address and I was supposed to receive an email to issue my balance. Still waiting on the email 8 days later. The facility is great, the staff is great, the food is all pretty good. Definitely enroll for the Sun Club and definitely go to the spa. Stay away from laundry service.

Property is exquisitely located on the beach. Rooms clean bed comfortable. Amenities were nice. Property needs some updating. Staff were very genuinely friendly, helpful. This was our first time in Curaca. Thank you to staff who decorated our room for my fiancés birthday. Overall very memorable and pleasant experience

The resort's beach is beautiful. The breeze is constant and relaxing. The facilities are dated, rooms need upgrading. There were only 3 restaurants operating.The 4th restaurant was closed for renovation. Compared to other all inclusives, the variety of food at the buffet was very limited and disappointing. The room's fully stocked mini bar in the fridge contained 2 bottles of water and 2 cans of soda. The resort's saving grace is the staff. All were helpful, and very friendly.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food (both in the buffet and restaurant) is not terrible, but just okay. We made reservations for the Japanese restaurant on site, but we were scheduled for a Tuesday, which they are NOT open for... not sure how they could make that mistake. They have tasty tropical drinks (alcoholic) that change daily. While we were mostly there for the beach and pool, there are daily activities/entertainment (we played music trivia at the swim up pool bar - which wasn’t consistently staffed, I should add). The resort is in need of updating - which I heard they plan to do. Overall it was okay/good experience. I’d give 3.5 if I could.

Probably the worst resort I’ve ever stayed in. My wife and I we were there to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and we left the hotel after the first night. The entire place in broken, no good food and service was just ok. Extremely disappointed with the experience we’ve had. I requested a refund which I was told I would get however the hotel is not allowing it. Guess I would have to hire a lawyer.

Property is a bit run down and needs more maintenance. Lots of ants in the room. We were Sun Club members but that didn’t really give much perks, if anything it’s more of a hassle and not a perk. Because you’re placed in the 8th building to the extreme end of the property while all of the main attractions, restaurants, etc are in the main building so it’s quite a walk and a bit lonely and scary at nights. If you want a drink after 6pm or if you’re hungry, WALK from end to end of the property and then up flights of stairs because there’s no elevator. Limited options of restaurants and they only have a few open per night so the lines were super long, always 12-15 rooms infront of you so it takes atleast an hour to get seated. Room service and front desk NEVER answers the phone so imagine walking from one end of the property to the other end just to order some food. And the AC in our room was not working properly, it’s worse than a fan. 2nd day very early in the morning we asked for a fan for the 2nd night and they said it will be sent to the room. We asked about 4 different times that day for the fan and they never sent it. Ended up spending the entire vacation without the fan ever being sent and no one even bothered to inform us why. On top of that, “sunclub special extension” doesn’t even answer the phone!!! The pool closes at 6pm which is ridiculous especially since the sun sets after 7pm so I really don’t know what special “perks” you get being a sunclub member.

Resort desperate need of remodeling. Felt like a rundown hotel, motel, holiday inn. But the WORST thing was when we arrived we checked in they gave us the royal treatment. Sent us to our rooms. We got to our room it was 95°, floors were wet with sweat. No AC and no power to room. I should’ve known something was up when guest were walking past me towards guest services looking very unhappy. Anyway. The building had lost power due to unforeseen circumstances outside of their control. My issue it had been out since 5 am that morning and we arrived at 4pm in the afternoon! They NEVER said a word at check in. Several angry guest were up at guest services, and we were requesting to be put in another building. There were no available rooms. Finally the manager showed up and assessed the situation. There was no ETA for when service would be restored. Eventually were we’re allowed to cancel for a full refund. I haven’t seen the refund yet, but will continue to track it down. We were left to find another place on our own at the last minute. Thank God we were able to find something. It was a much nicer place and better location! All in all everything worked out.

Resort was beautiful and they had events every night which was great BUT the food was meh, drinks were weak, lost electricity for an entire day and found a cockroach in our room. They did nothing to accommodate us for the loss of power and the icky bug we found in our bathroom. Overall not terrible.
