Shabby hotel with mediocre service
The staff has very limited English’s giving the impression of rudeness and creating misunderstanding. At the check in counter, I was rudely told to go over another check in desk without explanation. The person at that desk didn’t speak any English. Another person came to help him with my check in, but in the middle of this another guest, who spoke Spanish came, and I was ignored for a long period of time while they were chatting and laughing.
Finally, after so called private check in, I was escorted to my room by a person who said he will be my “butler”. The room was not the one I reserved. The “butler” left for a long period of time and came back with a different room key. The second room also didn’t correspond to my reservation. I was exhausted and had tears in my eyes but no one noticed. Went back to the lobby. A manager came out and escorted us to the 3rd room. This was also not the room I reserved but he said it’s in the same category, he can’t give me anything else and doesn’t understand why am I crying.
The “butler “ didn’t leave his contact information for the future services.
My check in took about 2hours. The room was shabby but fairly clean.
The safe and the balcony door were broken and I had to wait for the 2 different repair men to come and fix them. The balcony door was not fixed at the end After nearly 3 hours in this resort I just wanted to be left alone.
The room had multiple broken tiles, peeling paint, broken iron, leaking shower, non-flushing toilet.
