Room
We were given a very old and poorly maintained room. The AC was leaking, causing a large puddle on the floor, and the sockets were broken. After reporting the issue, we were moved to another room — but the AC was leaking there too. The rooms are outdated, the bathroom was in terrible condition, the water smelled bad, and there was mold in the shower. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room the first day, and no drinking water was provided until we complained to the manager.
Territory
The hotel grounds are beautiful, large, and well-maintained. This was the only thing we really enjoyed.
Restaurants & Food
Food was the biggest disappointment. The buffet was overcrowded, with very limited and low-quality food. Hard to find clean plates or free tables. The meat was overcooked or just bones, some food tasted spoiled, and drinks were terrible — artificial juice, broken coffee machines, stale cereal. A-la-carte restaurants had the same poor-quality food and extremely slow service.
Food Poisoning
Despite being very careful with what we ate, both my wife and our child got food poisoning. My wife had to go to the hospital for treatment. We had travel insurance, so medical costs were covered. The hotel management showed zero care or apology about this situation.
Beach
The beach was the only highlight — clean, beautiful, lots of space and loungers, soft white sand, and the ocean was amazing.
Conclusion
Sadly, this was our worst hotel experience ever.
