Beautiful hotel room and grounds.
Room was wonderful. Service was just ok. Breakfast buffet was ok. Pool was nice, no pool towels. Grounds were gorgeous.

I did not appreciate the way my room look and the nastiness. The pillows was stained dirty dirty no pillow cases. The toilet was yellow and the toilet seat rocked everytime i sat on it was so scared it was gone crack. No microwave in the room . Stains on the wall the coffee was water down. The resort has alot of potential to be gorgeous need lots of updates . Bugs outside my room door . I will say the workers are very nice and friendly. I always stay with marriott and never been this bad. The resort is pretty and quiet by the water but it needs to be renovated. We couldn't open the balcony door because there was no screens if you open then mosquitoes will come out.... I hate to even write this because the staff was excellent where needing renovations is out of their control 😢 Hopefully one day I can get the opportunity to get to say its excellent. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE NOT HAPPY AND WE'RE NOT FUSSY OR FANCY PEOPLE.....

Don't Believe the Photos Online
As soon as we arrived I felt like we had been duped. The resort looks nothing like the photos on line and the staff acted like the guests were an inconvenience from the moment we set foot on property. There were plenty of staff sitting around on golf carts doing nothing and no one offered to help us with our bags. Many times we were waiting to be helped while staff were on their cell phones behind the desk or the bar. The restaurants were running out of menu items and pricing was not consistent with what we got charged. The furniture on our balcony was rusty and there were nails sticking out on the benches. Some of the sidewalks were impassable due to debris and dirt that looked like it had been there awhile. Not long after checkin I was chatting with a Hotels.com virtual agent to cancel the 3 nights at the end of our stay. The agent contacted the hotel for me and said yes I would get a refund. When I went to check out on Jan1 they had no idea I was checking out and as of right now I have not received a refund from you. I would like to be contacted to resolve this matter please.

Grossly understaffed
Let’s start with the property is beautiful and the highlight of our stay. But that’s where it ends. The “resort” is grossly understaffed. Everyone around us would say the same thing, if only there was “one more”, i.e. one more server, one more food runner, one more bartender, one more housekeeping staff, one more front desk person. The potential of the hotel is undeniable but it’s not properly staffed. Housekeeping came to our room once in the 5 nights we stayed there. We would have to consistently obtain our own bath towels and take out our own garbage (which remained by the stairs for days on on end). The cherry on top was on the day of check out, which is at noon, housekeeping showed up banging on our door at 8:00 am to remind us that check out was at noon and came back 2 hours later. Magically housekeeping appeared more times that morning than in the entire time we were there.

Worse Marriott affiliated hotel I’ve ever stayed
Service was very poor. Took 20 minutes to check in and there was no one in line. Asked front desk for change and was told “front desk doesn’t keep cash in hand. You’ll HAVE to go to the restaurant for that. That was the front desk clerk on duty the evening on 12/20. Breakfast Buffett was no better than a run down diner. Over $30 for crappy food. This hotel operates as though it’s going to go out of business. Everything seems to be about saving money. Housekeeping was poor. Towels not replenished, trash left out. I honestly can’t believe this is affiliated with Marriott. Would recommend other potential travelers to stay away. Save your money and stay someplace else.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had traveling. I’m so disappointed with Marriot, because this isn’t a resort. This place should be condemned and shut down. The grounds are dingy and old. “PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS” It’s in the middle of no way, with no WiFi. The grounds are dark, and not kept. We had roaches in our room, and the sheets/covers had to be over 10 years old, that’s how bad it was. The staff weren’t friendly and had absolutely no people skills. It was so dirty and weathered, that I was scared of getting scabies, or needing a tetanus shot from sitting in the rusted chairs. All I can say is the reviews speak for themselves. The pictures they have on their website had to be taken over a decade ago, because nothing looks remotely close to those pictures. Don’t support businesses like this one, they will only lie, and steal hard working people’s money. I’m so disgusted and traumatized. Sidenote: pay attention to how they try to respond to every review, but can’t clean up the property.

there was no notice given when booking through orbitz that the pool was closed and there was limited wifi. i had no wifi in my room and the main amenity was not open.

Services are rude , food was bad and expensive the pool was in construcción I don’t recommend it This is the worse place to be in vacation
