Disappointing stay

This used to be a lovely hotel. When I arrived I was checked in quickly and went to my room which was roasting. The window didn’t open, and the aircon was reading 27.4C, (It was 16C outside!) but wouldn’t switch on. I called reception who said the hotel aircon had been deactivated but thankfully did offer an alternative room. The new room had a window that opened a fraction and a fan, which did cool the room during the afternoon. However the night was unbearably hot, even with the fan on full. Leisure facilities were nice enough but everything very basic with no frills or attention to detail. It didn’t really live up to the hotels.com description. Lovely helpful staff, but hotel needing some upkeep & TLC.

Enjoyable and comfortable weekend

Was warmly welcomed and introduced to the services available ie, orientated to breakfast, dining room bar and spa area.The bedroom was clean, bright and comfortable beds although quite warm during the night bathroom ckean great shower and was pleased to see a grabrail. Staff ordered a taxi for us on Sunday morning so we.coyld meet outlr coach on yime for our day trip the whole weekend was.fabulous and i'd have no hesitation yo staying at the Argyle Hotel again

Clean and Comfortable

The hotel had a computer glitch on arrival, which meant the check in queue was a bit long. However the staff kept us informed about what was going and were quick to get the issue sorted out. The room was clean and comfortable but the decor was a little tired. We were attending the Glasgow Summer Nights at Bellahousten Park and we were able to walk to and from the venue. It's also good for the Hydro and NEC and we would stay here again if attending events at those venues (which we do every year). All in all a good hotel if visiting Glasgow and you don't want to stay right in the centre.

Room was very hot, air condition was not working, only had a fan in the room, which was blowing hot air on us. Window could not be opened so felt like a prison, at 3am we couldn’t take it any longer and asked for another room with working air conditioning, was a bit better but still awful experience overall. Booked this hotel to use pool and jacuzzi but one day before our arrival told us that it will be closed for technical reason, just when we could cancel it for free, very sneaky move so that we cannot cancel it. Worst hotel experience ever, never again this place!! I would avoid it completely.

Hotel was nice. Our room had a weird smell to it, but was very large and comfortable. We enjoyed the food at the onsite restaurant. There’s a lot of construction near the hotel, but parking was still easy as was navigating to public transportation.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed at the Glasgow Argyle hotel when we attended the Sound of Revival conference in Glasgow. The receptionist Ester was lovely and very welcoming. I enjoyed using the gym and my 2-year old loved it when I took her for a swim in the pool. They held our luggage for us after we checked out to enable us attend a meeting. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again if we visit Glasgow in the future.

Hotel experience was very good, what let it down was the leisure centre. Inadequate changing room full of water, no way of drying your swimming gear, caused my wife more grief than me, but we both had wet items to pack next morning.

Very friendly staff, great value.

One of the most friendly hotels I've stayed at. All staff were attentive and eager to help. Room was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Bar meal had a good choice and was reasonably priced. Great location as well - near to the Central Station.

I paid £200 for 2 nights at this lovely hotel and it was 100% value for money. I booked what I believe was a small double, but somehow ended up in a huge and extremely comfort room. I can only assume this was an upgrade, which I was very grateful for as I was down to run a half marathon! The robe and slippers in the room were also a nice touch. Every single member of staff I encountered during my stay was extremely friendly and polite. It reminded me of the level of hospitality experienced in hotels pre-covid, and it made the stay as a solo female very relaxing. The bar area was inviting with a nice atmosphere (free drink voucher if you opt out of housekeeping which I thought was a great idea) and the buffet breakfast was just what you would expect from a hotel in this price bracket. The stand out for me was the leisure club. The pool, steam room and jacuzzi were wonderful! Relaxing, clean and quiet - bliss. Although advertised as being open 4-8pm, I was told upon checking in that it would be open for guests from 7am which was a lovely bonus. My only very tiny niggle was how warm the room was, but with an aircon unit and a fan the hotel are clearly doing the best they can in this area. Brilliant experience and I will definitely be returning!
