Bed was comfortable. Bathroom door stuck so bad to the floor we had to push and pull it open and close. I told Matt about it and he became hostile and I said the door was a hazard, a fire hazard. He said he would have maintenance look at it, but he was indignant. He should not be at the front desk. The gentleman that checked us in was very professional and pleasant.

The room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel property that I experienced (including elevators and the breakfast area), and there was plenty of parking. The general area seemed very safe and I took a one-hour walk for exercise late one night around the perimeter of the hotel property and the adjacent hotel property. The bed was quite comfortable and I slept very well. The free breakfast was a cut above some of the ones that I have experienced at similar hotels, and there are nearby restaurants -- even a couple within walking distance. I ate at a Texas Roadhouse that I walked to, which was fine for a single meal even though I am not a fan of that chain. The one downside of this property, along with every other hotel in the area is the traffic noise from a busy nearby highway. This hotel does not front on the highway like some other hotels in that area do, but you can hear the noise anyway. I solved the problem by setting the fan on my AC/heating unit to High to modulate the outside sounds and dialing down the temperature when I went to bed. I am a light sleeper but the noise did not bother me after that and I had a very restful night. FYI, my room overlooked the front of the hotel, so a different room might not have experienced this issue.

We have had a really tough year (flood, cancer treatments and dialysis all within 2 months) so we really needed a stress free break. The first room we were assigned didn't quite fit the bill for a quiet, relaxing evening (no bathtub, it overlooked the road and was next door to a housekeeping room). But the front desk clerk (Nataliya (?)) quickly remedied the issue and we had a great stay! We slept for 12 hours! We slept thru breakfast so we can't comment on that. The room was clean and quiet. The sofa is a little stiff though. And a late check out time should be more than 30 minutes past the regular check out time. We would recommend staying here.
