Rooms not cleaned! Mold on walls, couldn’t check!

We were not able to check into our room until 10PM because the rooms were not cleaned. We were supposed to wait for a call to tell us when we could check in, that never came. We finally just went to the counter and asked. The pool was closed and we were given no heads up. We booked this hotel strictly because it had a pool. There were dirty linens all over the hallways. There was mold on our wall and what looked like blood spatter on the wall. It was terrible.

Not a royal experience at the Crowne Cleveland

Reserved online, arrived 5 hours after check in time only to be told there were 15 reservations ahead of us waiting for the 2 queen room option. At this point we just wanted to go to bed so we took the room offered. No adjustments were made to our bill. The room was in total disrepair. No TV: missing light bulbs, broken curtains, bathroom fixtures, peeling wallpaper etc.

I always stay with Crown Plaza when I am in town however this time housekeeping forgot to put soap and shampoo in the bathroom with tissues along with the bathroom sink didn't want to drain. However the front desk was amazing in all custome needs.

Needs more help from Atlanta HQ

Leila, a manager from Atlanta sent to help turn around this Crowne Plaza location in Berea Ohio, was the lone highlight of our hotel stay. She was super friendly, constructive and making every effort to train staff and support guests. When we arrived to our room, the towels were still from previous visitor; garbage wasn’t taken out. The elevator smelled. Food leftovers were sitting on community room tables. Person at front desk continued to watch videos on their phone while helping guests. No evidence of cleaning staff. Full garbage bags laid on floor in hallway by cleaning cart that hadn’t moved once during my three day stay. Bed mattress was good!

The hotel staff was extremely nice and had a great attitude with such a large event in town this past weekend. The rooms were clean and bed were comfy. The only issue I experienced was the elevator not working, but we made it work.

Chaos

Complete chaos around check in. Room wasn’t ready when promised. Air conditioning didn’t work outside of the rooms. Most bathrooms were out of service. Elevators were out of service. People were turning the lobby area into places to get ready for events in the area. Complete disappointment will never stay there again.

Look elsewhere

Couldn't check in at 3 because none of the rooms were ready. We were number 44 in the line waiting to get a room. They were supposed to call when our room was ready. They promised they would have keys ready when we returned from the concert we were attending. Neither happened. I basically had to wait to check in again at 12:30 am. I was given a key to the room that didn't work and had to go back down again, which by the way all three elevators were down so we had to carry all of our luggage up and the dirty stairwells multiple times. We weren't even in our room until after 1 am. I feel we should have been refunded for our very brief stay. We were there about 8 hours total. Oh and in order to have access to an outlet we had to get ready in the lobby for our event. They wouldn't even let us in a bathroom!!!!! I will not be using this hotel chain when there are so many others to choose from.

Worst stay ever

It was the worst hotel I had ever been in. The elevators went out and was out the whole time,Mother in law has to sleep on the floor 1 night and the only reason she didn't sleep on the floor the second night was because my husband walked up to the 3rd floor and carried a roll away bed down the stairs. Never got room cleaned, clean towels out anything. There was flights in the lobby, and in the dining area. They double booked a party so had a very loud DJ in the dining room for a rented out birthday party. Was absolutely terrible. I will never go back there again. There was mold growing on the walls, cobwebs everywhere. Was promised by the staff including the manager, they would get the rollaway bed into the room. Almost $300 a night for trash. We was there for our daughter that was in the hospital for serious injuries from motorcycle accident and did not need all the extra stress. They even had ppl sleeping in the lobby because they over booked.

Worst hotel experience

We were in town for a concert. We had to wait 1.5 hr until we could check in. The lobby was full of concert goers having to get ready while we all waited. The lady at the desk said they had been sold out for months. So then how were you not prepared for the volume. The pool was closed. Why? No explanation. The elevators were out of service. We had to walk up 5 flights. The stairs were a sauna. The thermostat and toilet roll dispenser were hanging off the wall in the room. The sink was cracked. The soap dispensers in the shower were empty.

Do not stay here

Absolutely horrible experience. Could not check in on time because they had no housekeeping. Was to get a call when room was ready. Left concert at midnight still no call. Showed up at this hotel to a lobby full of people being turned away for no rooms even when charged

Highly dissatisfied

Never had a chance to experience. When we arrived, they had my reservation but did not have any available rooms. Left us searching for 3 rooms in the middle of the night. Had to drive for 2 hours to find something. Multiple families affected. Never will choose this service or this hotel chain ever again

AWFUL!!!!!

This place was awful!!!! Arrived at 2:45 15 minutes before checking in only to discover the entire lobby was filled with people waiting to check in. Was not able to get in room before concert and got ready in a public bathroom. Air was broke so was elevator and pool. Do not stay here!!!!

Couldn’t Shower

First the elevator was broken. Next the shower was dirty, soap was empty, zero water pressure and only giving out cold water. Hot water in sink worked just fine. Apparently the water pressure was an issue for multiple guests, couldn’t take a shower. The bed was comfortable and no noise complaints. Overall would not stay again.
