The area is fantastic, so is the staff and the amenities. However, the bed wasn't very comfortable and the marble floors make every noise very loud in the room. We had trouble sleeping because of all the noises. Breakfast was good and there was a nice view and pool.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and incredible views with a short walk to the beach. Great coffee and fresh fruit along with other nice items with the included breakfast. Upgrading to a larger room was seamless .

We enjoyed our stay, it was close to everything we needed. Bed was very uncomfortable and noisy. Telephone was in the room but not connected so had no way to communicate with office. Hairdryer did not work. A/C was good. Pool area and staff were amazing. Breakfast was adequate. Booked a shuttle through the office for the morning of our flight home and after waiting 30 minutes past their scheduled pick up time with a no show we hailed a cab. Had we waited any longer we would have missed our flight.

Dirty shower, creaky bed, inadequate parking, awfully limited breakfast and loud music on Friday night till 2:30. It’s not advertised at the time of making the reservation but they inform you after you get there at the property, which in my opinion is very late. And the reception lady has major attitude problems.

Very close to many restaurants and shops. Would have rated more stars, but the beds were terribly uncomfortable. You should also know Tamarindo is very busy, so its not a quiet hotel. (Traffic noise). Breakfast was the same food every day, would havebeen nice to chamge it.

This was my first time to Tamarindo and I didn't have much expectations. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was told I had to roll my luggage on the gravel road onto to stoned driveway up a small hill and then carry it up the stairs to my room.... The next morning I saw the breakfast was sub par so I only had the toasts with butter and jam, coffee and juice. They ran out of sterno to keep the food warm the next morning, so everything was served cold. By the third morning, they had scented candles put under the warming trays but most of them were out... The property is located at the entry end of the town but still walkable into town in about 10 minutes if you walk slow. Some areas of the road toward the center of town is without sidewalk so you'll get dirty feet getting into town. My room has a decent water view above the trees but it has no mini fridge nor microwave. I had to get ice from the restaurant all day to keep my drinks cold. I think for about $100/night it's decent. There are many options of places to stay in Tamarindo but mostly local hotels and not world wide chains. There is no reception per say except a little building at the entrance that looks like a security guard hut so if you check out and leave your suitcase with the reception, you would have no where to hang out until it's time to leave. There is a very good Chinese restaurant across the street which I had a few meals while I was there.
