Hidden charges

Only bad thing I would really have to say is that they don't let you know there's a deposit we have to pay for every day we stay, and it's a high deposit. They should notify people as their booking about it. Wasn't able to really enjoy because the deposit we had to leave was our fun money.

Bad experience!

The hotel looks nothing like pictures and had to change to three different rooms due to no working ac. Very disappointing hotel would not stay again

Property located on the beautiful riverwalk although a long walk to the popular restaurant area. No convenient coffee, breakfast places other than the hotel. Always a few blocks to walk to. Even the closest bus stop was several blocks away.

Coronavirus and San Antonio precautions. I had to pay $30 a night to park in the fire lane because there was no parking and the valets would not let me Park my own car. This was not in the hotel agreement I saw. The valets also wore gloves the whole time and parked cars with the same gloves ... and had hand sanitizer hidden. .. Like the hotel staff who had it behind the counter but nothing for the customers. Made me feel like I was the one that should get the virus.

I Normally don't take the time to review on a place but I had to for this place. Guest beware the picture are totally not what the hotel looks like. 1. Pull deck floor pulling apart pc missing. 2. Pool was dirty there was leaf's and dirt floating in the water. 3. The floor to our room smelled bad. 4. They charge you to park your car $30 a day. The only good thing was our room was not that bad. The view and noise was they are building a new hotel next door not even on a Sunday morning could we sleep in.

Decent location. It is near the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk but is a little far than I expected. I was afraid to go anywhere after dark in fear of what may happen to me or my kids. There were a lot of homeless people laying around. There was a lot of construction. The parking was horrible and was way overpriced. I had a hard time finding a decent parking spot and when I did, I will discover the next morning that someone dinged my car door because they parked too close to me. The hotel room was way overpriced. The staff were not friendly. At first glance this appeared to be a fancy hotel but after the first night, I learned that I was wrong. Everything was overpriced and not worth the paying for. My children and I counted down to check out time with anticipation. The worst hotel experience I have ever had.

The staff was friendly, the front desk looked clean or perhaps the lobby. Some what the hallways of the hotel looked old fashioned it looked liked it needed some remodeling and painting . The room that we stayed in with my family was somewhat cleaned. The room was dusty and the furniture was dusty as well. the sheets of the bed were stained. Also the hallway smelled like humidity.

The front desk staff are not very helpful; their answers are shot and incomplete. At night, a lot of activities occurred with loud noises, even after 10 PM. With exception of valet parking staff.

2/10 Poor

I didn’t like that the photos online were very misleading. The only nice thing about the hotel was the lobby. Photos online of rooms are not what you see when you arrive. I booked 2 rooms, we couldn’t take off our shoes because the carpet was old and smelly. I’m very upset about the money I threw away. We could have stayed at Holiday Inn and would have been happier. Disgusted and very disappointed. This place is very old and dated. Unless I get some kind of compensation back I will never use Expedia again.

In need of serious updating

Check in was easy and convenient. They were able to get us in early. Parking is outrageously overpriced at $30 a night. The hotel is in a good location, right on the river. However, the hotel itself is in need of a serious update. Very old and worn down. Beds are super uncomfortable. The pool area is nice, through several broken chairs and rips in the surrounding flooring. The phone in room didn’t work, so we attempted to call the front desk from our cell phone to request additional pillows. No one answered, so we had to walk down to the lobby to request some to be brought to our room. Price was a little high for what we experienced.

The facilities in the room need to be worked on. The john is next to the wall not allowing to properly use it

Air condition not cooling. Beds not comfortable. Rooms need to be updated and remove the old wall paper style.

Pros: The staff was very nice. The hotel was right on the riverwalk. The bed was comfortable. Cons: Upon check-in they required that you use their $31 valet parking - then the next morning it took 20 minutes for them to get my car. Very annoying. The chair in my room was falling apart and hardly usable. The air conditioner was one of those big old units hanging from the wall and very noisy. We preferred to leave it off so we could sleep.

Park Yourself/One of many stories here

Hello, I’ve stayed here a few times in the past and just recently and every time I stay, there seems to be NO COMMUNICATION between the Hotel staff and the Valet service every time. I arrived back at the hotel after a night out and the valet gave me a difficult time of checking my second car into the hotel. When everything was settled and done and thought the car was taken up. About 30 mins later I get a call to my room from the front desk saying that the car couldn’t be started (Which is a push to start). So I told the lady that the person starting the car just needed to use the key to press the button, NOT your finger. She responded by saying that’s not on us you need to come down and figure it out with valet. Mind you, the distance from valet to the front desk is about 10 steps from each other. I made my way to the valet podium and there was no one at all in front of the hotel.. not even my car? So I told the lady at the front desk Who called my room the situation and she said to just wait for someone to come. It was passed 6 am... I told her if the car was in the garage why did it need to be started? She had no clue and was obviously not trying to meet our needs of getting to our room and rest. About 5 mins later of waiting for valet I assumed my car was taken care of. I walked back to my room. 15 mins later I get a knock at the door from the valet man still questioning about the key that didn’t start the car. So as we explained to the front desk, use the KEY not finger!

Upon arrival to room everything seemed fine. There was a number of flyers for local restaurants, in my room, that delivered. When i called for a delivery from a flyer found in my room, the front desk called me when my food was delivered to go downstairs. If the restaurant delivery person is unable to access rooms then they should not have the flyers in the rooms. The ac in my room was not functioning and i had no control.of the thermostat. Not good when it is a humid day in San Antonio.
