Good all around.

Very nice staff, helpful and friendly. Within walking distance of most Mayo facilities and shuttles available Mon to Fri. Parking very accessible. Pool was down while I was there, was surprised I did receive any information on that. Very nice outdoor patio with a fire pit. Construction in front of hotel, but they made it work. Excellent breakfast. Checked out early which caused my rate to be higher than quoted, too busy with medical things to ask why.

Home away from Home

The hotel more than met my needs. The room was nicely arranged, the location was so convenient for me, right across the street from St. Mary’s Hospital where my son was having surgery. The front desk person was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was fantastic, bed so comfortable.

The location is great asnitnis across the street from Mayo's St. Mary's Campus. Howrver, i did bring food to save money and the refrigerator froze all of it and had to discard most of it. Also, the hot water is barely warm. Had luke warm showers the entire stat.

Bon rapport qualité-prix

Hôtel un peu vieillot, surtout le hall d’entrée. Au bord d’une rue en travaux, mais malgré tout notre chambre donnant sur le parking était assez calme. Salle de sport ridiculement petite ; grande comme un placard et seulement 2 appareils (vélo elliptique et tapis de marche si je me rappelle bien). On n’a pas testé la piscine. La chambre était très grande et la salle de bain pratique, car douche et WC étaient séparés du lavabo. Petit-déjeuner buffet pas très varié ni très fourni, mais correct. Grand parking gratuit.

Hotel needs some work

Our room was over all nice. It was roomy - spacious, fridge, desk, couch, etc. The toilet and shower were in a room seperate from the sink which was very nice as my dad and i were there for medical appts together. It was definitely a cheap feeling place. The couch wasn't comfortable, the pillow on the couch was filthy and stained. The flooring in the bathroom and sink area were coming up and loose if you walked with wet feet they would stick so i kept socks on. Guessing they installed non water proof flooring as the flooring looked relativity new. I dont know if this is all rooms or just the room we had. The bed was pretty comfy but the pillows were horrible. I will probably not stay here again for the next surgery but the access to St. Marys clinic for the price was amazing as I could walk back and forth in minutes. The breakfast and lobby area were good and clean!

Under-impressed

We were given a wheelchair accessible room with two double beds instead of a king as booked. Bed/mattress height was about 18 inches high. Kind of hard to get up and out of. Mattress dipped in the middle. No counter space to set toiletries in bathroom. Mirror in shadows so hard to apply makeup. Lighting overall bad and dim. The bathroom floor was all bubbly from water damage. Towels and bedding and service were good as well as the carpet. There was an overall smell that permeated everywhere. Excellent breakfast.

The elevator was supposedly broken. I dont believe it. I think they may have been shory staffed or kept a floor closed because of a lack of help or trying to keep cleaning costs down.
