Stayed as two adults and a child (aged 1) for a weekend in order to visit chester zoo. Unfortunately, the hotel was not as child friendly as it needed to be. A cot was in the room on arrival which was great and a real positive but when we asked about warming the milk for our daughter for her evening and morning feed, they said they couldn’t do it! We managed to get it done on most occasions where i was able to use the microwave, and the evening management were supportive, but on one morning my husband was told to go and speak to the chefs himself (surely not our job to do that) and on the last morning it was a complete no as they said the chefs didn’t like them using their microwave. It was extremely awkward as we had to go and ask different people - not consumer friendly. There was no other solution given, not even a jug of water to boil it ourselves! When I spoke to the duty manager on the morning he didn’t note our concerns down nor did he apologise, he was extremely dismissive. Families staying here should be mindful of this as the hotel promotes chester zoo packages but has not thought about young children and what they require. We even saw another family with a double buggy having to go up the stairs as the lift isn’t wide enough. Not one to complain at all but it is a concern that needs to be resolved.
