Not what I expected

Beach front units were nice but back units were low quality, you can hear neighbors and rooms were older and didn’t smell nice, pictures in the posting show only the beachfront units and obscure the fact there are other older not so nice units in the back and sides of the property.

We had a pool view room. The Grotto Pool, that we were facing is beautiful. Being on the 5th floor, we could also see the side of the bay. The place was exceptionally clean and the staff was first class.

The island resort had no feeling of a resort at all. Clearly under staffed. Under delivered and quite uncomfortable. The hotel decided to hold a swingers convention which left my wife and her friend being cornered by men in nothing but silk robes. For the amount of money this place cost you’d think that at minimum you’d be able to feel comfortable walking around your hotel with KIDS. I don’t understand. Truly. Do better.

Our stay at the island resort was very comfortable. The other guests were friendly and the staff was great especially Laura, Michelle, and Lucy. The only complaint is that housekeeping never came and the towels were stained slightly. The pool was gorgeous and the grotto bar was fun. We had a very good stay. Thank you to the restaurant staff and bar staff for being so kind!

Room was pretty clean, nothing special. Had a standard room. Had problems checking in after paying on hotels.com and almost paid 3x the cost but ended up getting it figured out. Gorgeous place, nice walk to the beach, food , coffee shops and lots of pools on the property.

It’s a very good place overall. The staff is extremely kind, and the customer service is excellent. The hotel offers good amenities and is relatively comfortable, though it can be a bit noisy due to limited soundproofing. It’s not particularly eco-friendly, as towels were replaced daily despite leaving them in the correct place for reuse. Although the hotel is somewhat old, the facilities and furniture are very well maintained over time and kept spotlessly clean.

The property was very nice and the staff was very very friendly. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The only thing I would say I was unhappy with was the bathroom in our room. I don’t know if all the rooms are the same, but there was no countertop space whatsoever to really put anything and no shelving in the shower to put toiletries. It was not very practical. Lucy was our server at breakfast most mornings and she was amazing and went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.

Great beachside retreat.
