Awful place. Stay away! I booked for one of my workmen. He only told me towards the end of a week, how bad it was and showed me photos. I immediately changed plans for him and he did not stary the remainder of the booking. Upon arrival the hotel asked for a deposit to cover breakages as they "had some problem guests previously". I refused to pay for this. My workman showed me damage already in the room, broken taps hanging from the wall, broken mirror and also plasterboard patch on the ceiling. we were also charged 4pound per day parking even though the sign in hotel says free for patrons much better places elsewhere

Near Leeds and Bradford but certainly not in town

Stopped just 1 night Hotel location is rural but lovely and quiet. Great links to the Motorway network but remote location no shops or pubs without transport. Room was supposed to be non smoking and was labelled as such, definitely had been smoker in the room, tidy and good sized room.

The key cards weren't working so we couldn't lock the room for the first night/day. Room in need of upgrade, torn net curtains, mould around bathroom fixtures and fittings and general cleanliness below standard I would expect to see for the price paid. If we hadn't been visiting for a family 80th party in the area, we would not have stayed.

Accommodating stay

Every thing was fine. The suite was more accommodating than I hoped and comfortable. The hot water took forever to come on and there wasn't enough snack for the number of guests. It was a room paid for 4 people and yet only 2 mugs were provided. Apart from those 2 issues, it was a good stay. The hotel was quiet as well and enough parking space.

After reading negative reviews after I had already booked, I was regretting my choice, but fortunately I was happy with my decision. When I arrived, the gentleman on reception was very kind and attentive. He allowed us into our room early without additional charge,, as he noticed how cold we were. The room was clean and tidy. We liked the dining options and that the menu for Hide & Steak was in the room. Ali the duty manager was very friendly and helpful. All the staff were lovely, kind and friendly. Tong hotel

The hotel is good value for money, the rooms very clean, and environment tranquil. I didn’t use the bar / restaurant (due to visiting family and local areas) but all appeared very well kemp. Some slight irritations, pertained to the key card not working (not for the first time) having come from the far end of the hotel, carrying heavy bags to rectify the problem. Good parking, lovely surroundings. A very nice area.

Avoid - not a good place to stay

This is a terrible hotel. We had no hot water, no remote control for the TV. The staff didn’t care. They would give us a refund. In my opinion we will never stay here again.

No reservation

When we arrived we were told we hadn’t a reservation even showing my confirmation email adamant no room, no apologies didn’t seem bothered we explained we were here for our nephews wedding we needed somewhere to get changed ended up changing in the car. After some deliberation they eventually found us a room tried to charge us additional money I said I wasn’t paying any more money, which I didn’t ! We had no choice but to accept the room as it was bank holiday all hotels were fully booked we were attending a wedding at the same hotel. The room was next to a function room and was extremely noisy till the small hours. I won’t be staying here again.

Service and food in restaurant was good. Beds were poor, condition the room was poor and barely clean. There was no hot water throughout our stay. Ironically the boiler noise kept us awake. It was very noisy with kids running around and screaming upto 2.45am. Looks and nice hotel but the reality is very different. We were refunded for our stay through Expedia. The hotel staff weren’t really that interested in resolving the issue.
