Reserved two rooms while traveling from way out of town. When I arrived, the front desk clerk only gave me one key. When I asked about my second room, he was extremely rude and said “sorry, only one room - we’re booked”. I explained I’d reserved two rooms for four travelers, and showed him the reservation on my phone. He shrugged and said “Not my fault, nothing I can do”. I asked if the second room was under my friends name - Marc - to which he replied “no, I only have one other reservation for Farah”. I explained I couldn’t stay if there wasn’t enough room for the entire traveling group, to which he replied “not my problem, you’ll be charged either way. And there are no other hotels in the city, so…”. I insisted he triple check, and when he did, he showed me the reservation for “Farah” and it was in fact my reservation for myself/Marc. He replies “Oops. Problem solved!” and nonchalantly hands me the second key. Totally unprofessional and a huge waste of time at almost 1am when we’d been traveling all day.
