Recomendable
Excelente opción para disfrutar del centro de Mérida. El hotel no tiene restaurante, solo desayuno continental. Para nosotros que nos gusta conocer de la gastronomía típica, esto no fue un problema. Cerca de ahí hay opciones muy buenas de desayuno, comida y cena . Las personas de recepción muy amables .

Urban chic design
Very nice designed hotel with nicely appointed bathroom, great bed and linens. Staff is very warm, approachable and friendly. Location was very convenient to all parts of Merida Centro. Highly recommend

A very surprising little gem in Merida
The hotel is quiet nice , great location walking distance to all restaurants and bars near La Plancha park, which is one of the newest attractions in the city. Loved the area and I wish I had stayed there longer, as we only stayed one night as we had a flight to catch

Stayed 4 days in January. Positives: Hotel is relatively new and located a few walkable blocks east of the main tourist areas. Service from all the staff was friendly. They can prepare you a nice breakfast with eggs, bacon, fruit... for a little over $5.00. Room had a reliable air conditioner, comfortable beds and strong shower. Lighting was good. No problems sleeping. They have a sister hotel located downtown with a small pool which was a nice stop on a hot afternoon. They will give you a towel. You can order drinks and food there. Negatives: My room had no view just the neighboring wall. It was rather dark. There are rooms facing the street but I don't know what you would see or noise level on that side. Design of some parts of room not ideal. The shower floor did not drain and left puddled water. The bathroom is separated from main room with a window wall that is very hard to clean apparently as the shade was noticeably grimy. Light switches awkwardly placed. Step up to bathroom is not well lit and a little dangerous. Not a lot of places to hang towels. Overall, I was happy with my stay.

Very nice hotel. Superb front desk staff and housekeeping staff. Only complaint is that the water pressure surged and was hard to regulate water temperature in the shower.

Outstanding!! We stayed for 3 weeks and enjoyed every moment. Great location Amazing attentive staff Spacious rooms Comfortable beds Quality pillows, bedding & bathroom linens Hearty affordable breakfast After the military my career was in hospitality. I was a Chef in charge of numerous restaurants, bars, convention centers & catering for government offices. Event planner. I was also a nationally certified Food Safety Manager. I share that to say I have seen every aspect of hospitality in my career. It’s hard to impress me but Ontico did. Highly recommend & will definitely return.

My third stay & very happy I chose this hotel. Staff is amazing, room are great & hotel is convenient. We’ve been traveling for the last 2 years in and out of hotels between Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Siem Reap, Seattle, Cancún & now Merida. I love boutique hotels and Óntico is now on my lists of favorites. It’s a small hotel with a big heart & a mastery of hospitality !!

Outstanding!! This is our 2nd stay here and we really appreciate the hospitality we have received. Comfortable beds & pillows Hot water & good water pressure Modern upscale furniture & amenities Large TV, rooms & bathrooms Limited but tasty & affordable breakfast Walking distance to a vast array of restaurants Laundromat & dry cleaners are only a 5 min walk away Food service apps make food delivery easy Nice walkable location that felt very safe In my last review I complained about the noise from construction next door. Stated I loved the hotel & staff but the amount of noise was bothersome. Not only did the noise lessen staff upgraded us to a room that is amazingly quiet. I greatly appreciate them addressing the issue & fixing it quickly. I highly recommend this hotel!

I like this hotel and planned on staying for 30 days however the daily construction noise is making me change my mind. Staff is great. The rooms are very nice. The only issue is there is hammering and drilling that starts at 9am and continues throughout the day with only a break at lunch. I was on the top floor and thought when I moved to the first floor I was getting away from the noise. Nope!!! It is 517pm right now and it is still going. Staff says it might stop at 6pm. We are not here for tourism but are in the midst of publishing several books and looked forward to a quiet spot to get work done. Really nice hotel but I might need to find a new place to work sadly. I recommend it but only if you will be gone most of the daytime to avoid the noise.

Modern little hotel in the center of the city
The hotel is small but fairly new, I loved the long table with a lot of space to put your things, the bathroom has double sinks and it was very modern. The only issue was the water pressure was weird, suddenly spiking as you showered so that made the bath a bit unpleasant. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Another small issue is that there is not many convenience stores nearby so you better get stuff ahead of time or get it delivered. The streets around are also not particularly nice to walk around.

Room was very nice and clean. Staff is very kind helpful and friendly. High quality toiletries. Efficient AC. Would be nice to have a small fridge. Sometimes a little noisy during breakfast service. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful modern design. The huge tree in front was an excellent landmark for finding your way back to the Hotel. Only a few blocks away from Calle 47 a beautiful street with many restaurants to choose from.
