A wonderful place to stay. It was like you were in an Agatha Christie novel transported back in time as you walk from the Nile towards the awe inspiring buildings. The owner is a very unique and special person. Her main concern was her guests and enjoying the experience. I wish my wife and I had been able to spend more time there.

I loved it!

If I ever come back to Luxor, I’m definitely staying here. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Food was delicious. And staff were so kind. They even brought me breakfast at night since I had an early morning flight to make sure I ate something. And I love how you can take a boat across without additional cost. Five-plus stars!

Brilliant stay in a fabulous hotel. Staff were great, facilities were great, food was great.... what more can i say? If you're looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of Luxor, this is the place to go. Absolutely loved it.

A gem in Luxor

Djorff Palace is gorgeous. The rooms are lovely, the owners are warm and friendly, and the staff courteous. The hotel is a hidden gem surrounded by beautiful, lush fields, the Nile river, and is close to many of the temples. I wish I had stayed in Luxor for many more days, and cannot wait to return.

Great Hotel on the Nile!

The Djorff Palace is absolutely amazing. Beautiful rooms, fantastic food, and an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The location on the Nile is great, particularly with the boat that will take you to the East bank any time you would like. Marina is a great host and set up the best excursions.

The best place to stay in all of Luxor

We decided on staying at Djorff because it was such a different hotel than the others. It's location on the west bank made it really convenient for the valley of the kings. But the complimentary boat service to the east bank is really nice. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and organized our tours and drivers. Sadly my mom had a major flair up on her arthritis and was bed ridden for a few days. The hotel staff helped my mom to and from breakfast and the owner of the establishment checked in on me and her daily. She is such a nice lady. I highly recommend this hotel. The food is amazing, the location is amazing, the vibe is so relaxing.

Very nice but a bar would be much better

There is no bar. Nice traditional style hotel, great hosts with original touch. It's on the quiet side of the river

Had free boat available all day for transportation across Nile to east bank. Boat was enjoyable for sunset cruise alone cost 300 lbs for an hour

Nice Hotel friendly staff

Wonderful place. It had the vibe we were looking for, the reception and the rooms all had a great atmosphere with a great selection of furniture and art; the place will make you feel like you have stepped into history. The gardens and the pool were lovely, secluded from the hustle of the town but in close proximity by a quick boat ride ( complimentary for guests at the hotel) The owner was very nice and involved with all clients, making sure everyone was having a great time. The only feedback I would give is the linen in the bedrooms should be better. It felt old and worn. And the beds were not the comfiest.

Fabulous architecture, food and staff

Marvelous hotel. Dr. Marina and her husband built a beautiful building in the arabesque style. He designed and built it. She lovingly decorated each room with treasures from her travels around the world. The staff is so friendly and takes care of every detail. Since they are across the river from the city, they even offer free boat shuttle. We highly recommend Djorff Palace.
Steven, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Non-existent or poor Wifi; breakfast taken outside in the cold; ultra-hard, uncomfortable mattress; very old, wafer thin bed linen and stained pillow case. Checked out after just one of three nights booked. Owner conceded the foregoing as true/agreed the issues, but made no offer of refund for the two nights not stayed as full payment taken on arrival. Poor, disappointing experience. Other hotels in Luxor and Aswan were excellent. In short, better value elsewhere.

10/10 Exceptional

The view over the Nile was gorgeous, but I was concerned about the Animals and their care. I know they are not all yours, but please ensure they are cared for the best possible.

Surprised my partner with this palace and he was in awe. This is a true palace with amazing architecture to admire. The property owner was kind and fun to chat with. The workers are so attentive and you can’t ask for better service. The views of the Nile are stunning and when you face the palace in the evening you’re in awe. The palace brightens up and makes you feel in safe solitude. Have been raving about how beautiful our room and this palace was. Thank you Luxor!

We like UK mama style

This is an outstanding hotel, and we simply can't express enough how pleased we were with the communication and service provided before and during we stay. It's a pity that we only stayed for one night, but that night gave us a much-needed boost of energy for ours trip in Egypt. We also had the delightful surprise of making new friends here. The cleanliness, service, and dinner were all top-notch. Btw we stayed in the Ruby room, and we were particularly fond of the owner's style. We didn’t know this comment can encourage owners or not, but I wish they can keep go forward to be greater and hard-working to keep this wonderful performance in the future. Shout out to my UK Mama friend, love you so much, hope to see you again! (This one is by my wife Wen)

Paradise

Because of this hotel I’m now planning another trip to Egypt with not just myself. I travel all over the world with my job and for pleasure and this hotel is definitely in my top 3. The rooms are amazing, I think I even took a picture of the walk in shower. You are right next to the Nile with a hotel boat to take to the East bank if you’re going to see Karnak and the Temples (you can see Karnak in the distance from hotel) The owner Marina was very welcoming and a great source of knowledge and I hope to stay in touch. The staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed my daily chats with them. The breakfast are fantastic and sets you up for the day. This was so good I stayed 6 days instead of 3 This will add to your Egypt experience- don’t hesitate, you’ve found your hotel

10/10 Exceptional

The Djorff Palace was our favorite hotel in all of Egypt. The architecture is magnificent, the view of the Nile superb, and the surrounding farmland is so serene. It is an oasis away from hustle and bustle of downtown Luxor. The owners, Dr. Marina and Muhammed are both very interesting people with magnificent life stories. And they'll take great care of you. They can arrange transportation to and from Luxor airport, set you up with a guide for the Valley of the Kings, and even book a hot-air balloon ride! But you might just want to stay at the Palace and enjoy a relaxing day by the pool - with full-on English High Tea! The food and staff are excellent as well. Overall, this was the best place we stayed in all of Egypt (the Ruby Suite is amazing!)

2/10 Poor

I accidentally left a small bag with important things in the hotel, when I called them 3 hours after I left the hotel, they were very honest and said, they had thrown it away as garbage ..... Also, there are so many mosquitoes that they can take you fly~```

We Didn't want to leave!!

It is truly difficult to adequately express the unique and extraordinary nature of the Djorff Palace. From Mohamed's remarkable imagination, creativity, and knowledge that allowed him to create such a magnificent structure, to Dr. Marina's captivating storytelling about her life experiences and journey to Luxor, the two owners have gone above and beyond to craft an exceptionally welcoming and intimate experience for their guests. Their extensive network of local contacts ensures that visitors receive the most authentic and enriching experiences that Luxor has to offer, whether it be through excursions or personalized advice. The exemplary service extends beyond the palace itself, as each and every staff member demonstrates an unwavering commitment to ensuring that guests are constantly delighted and satisfied. We wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional establishment and eagerly anticipate our next visit. Our deepest gratitude to Mohamed, Marina, and the entire staff for making our stay truly unforgettable.

8/10 Very good

Possibly one of the best hotels in Luxor due to the beautiful location and even more beautiful staff. The boat that takes us to the other side is very convenient. The hotel manager was very understanding about my mosquito allergy and tried her best to help me. She even arranged for us to leave our luggage for a tour which was very kind. it's great that breakfast starts so early. I would like to stay here again but the insects might not want me to. The room we stayed in had no wifi connection. The geckos in the ceilings are adorable but very loud. they added joy and a bit of drama to our stay tbh. I like them but if you're scared of geckos I would not recommend the room. This hotel is the most organised hotel I stayed at in Egypt. Check-in and check-out were quick and simple no problems. Great first and last impression of Luxor.

2/10 Poor

Hotel Djorff Palace was one of the WORST experiences I've ever had. The website makes it look very nice but underneath the fairy tale Islamic castle appearance there is poison. Arriving at night by boat, we found a dock in very poor condition, no lights, no railing and the dirt pathway leading up to the hotel was unlit..cell phone lights saved us. Our bed, described as being a king was really a double and was rock hard (imagine sleeping on a yoga mat on concrete). My daughter and I were up all night in pain....she's much younger but still was miserable. The lighting, or lack thereof, was disconcerting, especially at night...in the room and outside on the grounds. Our Egyptian male friend was traveling around with us and showing us his country. He made a reservation at this hotel when I told him we had a room there. Shortly after this, the hotel cancelled his reservation because he was Egyptian and this British woman owner did not want "that" influence in her hotel! After our first night we decided that we couldn't stay there...not only due to the bed but the Racist owner of this establishment.....absolutely unpalatable. I went to the deck to check out and said we were leaving. We had a 3 night stay but couldn't do it. The owner knew who we were and lied to me and said all the rooms were booked which is why our friend couldn't stay.....with no apology about the bed either....her comment was "most people really like our hard beds!" DO NOT STAY HERE!
