Mom and I had a wonderful stay at Ibis. This was the best and most convenient hotel in Amsterdam. Close to EVERYTHING. All the food restaurants, dam square, damrak, red light district, Anne frank’s house. Take the ferry to go across the other side of Amsterdam and you are right there at Adam’s Lookout. First time I’m in Amsterdam. Everything is so easy to get to and we used google maps. Next time I will be back knowing how to get to the city by heart because I remember everything!!

It was a really disappointing stay. This is a pure hostel in all forms which is being marketed as a hotel. There are no hotel like facilities. Not even a 24 hour reception. We opted for a twin bed room and there was hardly any space to walk where the bed were placed which was right where the door is. The bathroom was tiny as well. The 2 stars that I have given are basically for the staff since they were extremely helpful.

Very handy to everything, the rooms very simple not good for the money , service bit poor . Another thing every where in eu I have been paying about 4.5 to 5 eu tax per night but in ibis in Amsterdam they told me 120 euros for two nights tax , I nearly got speechless. After I spoke they made iit to 63 euros for two nights which is unheard of .
