Ouvane Falls Hotel

The hotel is value for the price. The location is next to the bay which is nice. The food is good. The only comment is the room need a bit of maintenance.

We absolutely loved staying here! The staff at the bar downstairs was great and stayed open late for us to chat and continue drinking. The people were all amazing and would highly recommend staying here!

Need a good refresh

Wasn't our best stay... nice water view but the building and rooms need a refresh and good cleaning. Noices from the road and parties. Food and breakfast are ok.

Ouvane Falls was a great place to meet local people and join in the Ceilidh with them.
Colin, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great having bar downstairs for easy pint after a long day of traveling. They had some irish dancing going on and we didnt even hear it from our room. Clean and friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Weston, 1-night trip

Entryway for after hours cluttered; not well maintained place.

Nice access to Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara. Nicely situated. Quiet. Pub downstairs with reasonable dinner options. Fantastic Irish breakfast included.

Bnb with waterviews

Bnb with lovely waterviews. Comfy beds. Good breakfast. Shower was tepid at best. Heater was difficult to work, kept turning off. It was an unusually cold night so would have liked a bit better heat. Nice staff.

Good location, nice staff but room for improvement

The pair in charge of this property were very pleasant and the property is well situated between Glengarriff and Bantry. The cooked breakfast was quite good and the support staff were friendly and helpful. That’s the good. The music played downstairs is far too loud for the paper thin walls. The music did not go off until close to 1am on our second night making sleeping an impossibility. The rooms have inadequate tea/coffee facilities and there was no hot water when we arrived for check in in the early evening. Check in also isn’t until 6pm which is not so convenient. The rooms are OK but definitely in need of modernisation. The place has heaps of potential but definitely need a little investment.

Amazing to stay. Beautiful view. Cheap. Host is very accommodative. Thumbs up

Polite staff. Shower could have been cleaner but otherwise enjoyed our stay. Minimal amenities, no conditioner

Bed was comfortable, but the hotel felt a bit rundown. Service was sketchy, you didn't really feel welcome. But it's easy to get to and from.
Sven, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The staff were lovely. There is a hotel shuttle into town which is convenient as the town is close but not walking distance. I did not like the 6pm check in but knew that in advance. The grounds are lovely with a gurgling stream feeding into a lake. It’s very picturesque and worth a late check in.

Surprised us in a good way

Loved it! To be honest we didn’t expect a ton because the price was so reasonable but we were blown away! The rooms were comfortable, the bar / restaurant was cute and the food was good. We happened to be there on learn to dance night and we had a blast! We stayed at the hotel bar and chatted to the bar tender for a long time, she has worked there 22 years and was an amazing person!

Lack of hot water

I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Only catch: there was no hot water the last evening of my stay. It was the bank holiday weekend in August and the person capable of handling the situation was not available. Not so good.
James, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel needs renovating but it wouldn’t take much to get it back to glory . Our room was lovely with a huge window overlooking a really pretty lawn onto the River. The restaurant wasn’t operating but the bar staff really accommodating for us to bring take away to it . The breakfast , included , was great and the breakfast chef lovely .Glengarriff is a much better option for cute pubs and cafes but Ouvane Falls was very cheap so I’d recommend for a different experience .
Kathy, 2-night trip

Very helpful and pleasant owner. Beautiful situation. Unfortunately the heating was malfunctioning and our room was cold. One of the towels probably had a hole in it
John, 1-night trip

We didn’t get the room we were promised. The towels provided were damp. The pillows had stains on them. We would have left but there were no hotels available in the area because of the bank holiday.

No room service. Very casual about guest services. Could do with a review by management.
