Our stay was not quite what we expected, originally our room was towards the courtyard, However we were moved last minute to a room attached to the lobby and next to the street. It was unbelievably loud and hard to sleep, the lobby echos and every word can be heard in the room. We know the street and environment can be loud in general, but the lobby playing music or a show all night and guests being checked in during the morning hours caused a lot of discomfort. Cockroaches in the shower too….if you have end up booking maybe just ask to not be in this room.

Great Historic Hotel. Noisy with drunk guests and a few things needed better upkeep and corners needed cleaned better. Would stay here again. Great location!!!

Had a LOVELY stay.

I have always wanted to stay at this very charming place! It is very central to most everything in the French Quarter. The staff is very friendly and accommodating here as well. I loved the cool story about how this hotel is haunted.

We didn’t see any ghosts however we stayed in the hotel building, not the outside courtyard so at night while we were trying to sleep it was very loud, and with all the lights off the room was still very light, and bright almost as if there was a light on. Staff was nice, parking situation wasn’t ideal.

Bon! un emplacement de choix Rue Royal. La façade était prometteuse !!!! Style Nouvelle Orléans comme on l'attendait. Pour le reste c'est pas top. Matelas très très inconfortable. Chambre pas faite Structure vieillotte pour ne pas dire vieillissante. Seule la réception fait de l'effet Pas de petit déj donc pas d'avis.

Leroy was great and helpful. The hotel is not the Hilton but is a great place and part of the history of New Orleans. I have lived in Louisiana all my life and have been to New Orleans several times in my life. This trip was the best because of the stay at this hotel and Leroy.

Excellent hotel great location

This was a cute small hotel with personality. It has a history of being haunted and there are tours that start in the courtyard. Hotel was clean, nice size rooms. Some are indoors and others in the courtyard. Nice seating in courtyard. Excellent lication walking distance to everything. Highly recommend hotel.

What Happened?

Loose grit on the bed. Television didn’t work . I had requested a ground floor room ahead of time and I as a 70 year old arthritic was given a room where I had to climb stairs while much younger people had ground floor accommodations. I have been choosing to stay here on my New Orleans trips for forty years. What has happened? Even the usually upbeat employees seemed disgusted to be there.
