No tv service in the room. Front desk said cable was out. For two days? I ain’t buying that!

The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. However, the bathroom drain plug needed repair, the hair conditioner bottle was empty and the toilet seat was loose. The TV remote was not working, so I had to go to the reception to have the batteries replaced. I also told the receptionist that our TV was not receiving any Spectrum TV channels. He indicated that Spectrum had an outage in the area because of the weather. I phoned Spectrum several hours after being told this, and the Spectrum CSR I spoke with told me that there was no area outage but rather the hotel TV services had been suspended because the hotel had not paid its bill for TV services. I reported this to the front desk receptionist. I believe that I should be entitled to compensation for the lack of TV during my stay.
