6/10 Good

Good but.....
The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. I would have rated it 4/5 but when I asked why my room key was disabled 1.5 hours before my checkout time on Sunday I caught an attitude from the receptionist like it was my fault for not proactively telling them to not shut off my key?? The check-in receptionist Saturday the night before was beyond excellent. The rooftop bar is also nice but when I went up there the hostess would not let me pick where I wanted to sit even though it was early and was literally 95% empty! The location is great except for the nearby homeless camps. I literally saw a homeless woman go to the bathroom in broad daylight in the adjacent alley. There are tents set up one block away where I saw them doing drugs while walking by.

Outstanding service
The front desk team was out of this world hospitable. Guillermo the mixologist at the lobby bar was an excellent host for our evening nightcap after our event. The rooftop bar was a little much for our taste, but you do you. The room was clean and comfortable although the mirror talks incessantly and the barn door to the bathroom stuck and trapped me in. The beds and pillows were a tiny bit soft for us. This location is unbeatable though, you can walk to a ton of different bars and eateries. For the deal that we got it was a very good stay.

The hotel was great but the parking was terrible. Valet for $41 they parked in their lot otherwise only street parking in downtown Phoenix is available. Worried about our vehicle all night.

Great…but read this if you’re picky
The location is amazing, a short walk to many restaurants, bars, a hop on to a main freeway. Can’t beat the location. The hotel looks really new and updated, very clean. My first issue is that it doesn’t have parking. $41/night for valet or street parking IF you can find one. Second, they gave me an option of floors to stay in, mentioning that on the 6th floor you could still hear music from the rooftop bar/restaurant/nightclub up to 2am. I chose the 5th floor and you could still hear it. I had earplugs so I used them and that was that. Just wanted to mention it for those that are sensitive to noise. Also, I had an adjoining room. I wasn’t sharing it, it just had a door that if needed, could join both rooms. Well, the noise level is very, very high. You can hear every single word said on the other side, as well as their alarm clock, etc. They also have a coffee maker in room with complimentary coffee pods, cream and sugar…BUT no water 🙄. I didn’t have any so no coffee for me. Something so simple was a huge over site in my opinion. Besides those things, I had a great stay.

Phoenix TRUE HIDDEN GEM
This Cambria location in the Roosevelt District of Downtown Phoenix is a new location. Tucked away a few blocks off of Central Avenue the Cambria is what I would call a true Hiddden Gem of the city. From the minute you step out of your vehicle and onto the curb where a valet attendant will get your bags for you, lead you to the front desk to check in with one of their superb front office employees, it makes you feel like you are staying at a five star resort. The attendant will then check you into your room and greet you in the way that is proper to travelers or stay-cation grests alike. Upon entering the elevator you will notice that safety is a priority by having to tap your room key that will only allow you to go to the floor that you are registered on. Entering your room you will notice that the designer paid close attention to detail making sure everything that you would need is within a arms reach. I highly recommend that you should not only consider but book your next reservation at this hotel if you are planning on staying in the downtown area and not wanting to spend an arm and leg at less than comparable major brands just a few blocks away. Try this Cambia I think that you will send me a thanks for the recommendation and I am looking forward to getting it.

4/10 Fair

Not worth the price! Fake luxury and cheap.
We didn't have hot water and couldn't shower. Maintenance eventually fixed it but at that point didn't matter because we had to go to our event without showering. There were no fitted sheets on the bed. I found someone elses hairclips under the bed and some of the electrical outlets didnt work. It's a lot of fake fanciness, but lacks true quality. Total rip off. Will not be back. Wish I could get some of my money back since we couldnt even use the hotel for what we needed (ie. Showering)

Fantastic Service
I cannot say enough thanks to the staff at Cambria. We were part of a large party for a birthday, the event was held upstairs at the rooftop bar. Every staff member up there was fantastic, we definitely wanted to give a huge shoutout to Nataly at Diablo rooftop who was honestly one of the best servers I’ve ever had while being in a large group.
