We got a suite with 2 bedrooms connected which was very convenient for family of 4. Beds and bathrooms were very nice and clean. Location is walkable to many dining options and all the main siteseeing. The hotel staff stored our luggage for free from checkout to 430pm. The transfer cost to and from airport was comparable to other private shuttle but felt safer. Traditional breakfast was included and freshly made. Not many continental options. We could hear the prayers from the mosque at 430am which we didnt mind and you would hear it anywhere that close to the center. Overall, it was a great stay. Pricey but worth it as we got to enjoy terrace dining with view of blue mosque whi ch we wouldnt have done if we stayed far from center.

Convenient for sightseeing and local transport system. The reception staff were helpful before our arrival and when we were there.They booked our airport transfers and a bosphorus diner cruise. The room was exceptionally clean and the housekeeper was friendly. We had a junior suite on the top floor.

The Obelisk Hotel is situated in the heart of historical Istanbul. The location is perfect for access to all the major sites by walking. We were two minutes from the Blue Mosque, three from Haggia Sofia and five minutes from Topkapi Palace or the Basilica Cisterns. The Grand Bazaar is about 15 minutes walk and the Egyptian bazaar about 20 or 25 minutes. There are local tram stops and lots of taxis for longer journeys. The hotel itself is modern and well kept. The cleanliness and service are excellent. There is a restaurant on site, but it only serves breakfast. However, there are dozens of local restaurants where you can find lunch or dinner. There is no bar at the hotel , but several of the local restaurants offer bar-like service, if you just want a beer or wine. The restaurants want your trade and are not afraid of approaching you in the street with offers etc. Don't be afraid to say no. A polite refusal is well understood. The local Turkish people are keen traders and, again, offers will be made to take you to sweet shops or carpet salesrooms. All very interesting, but remember, you don't have to buy. Overall an excellent hotel in a prime position.

The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The maid service was excellent. The breakfast was mediocre at best. One day the coffee machine did not work. The other day there was no bread available. Some days the fruit basket was not replenished, fruit was over ripe. The pastries were not good, the same cake slices left on the tray for a week. The food was not kept hot, the warming trays were not working adequately. The breakfast was the most disappointing aspect of the stay.

Muy buen hotel.

Excelente estadía y ubicación,a menos de 6 minutos caminando a la mezquita azul y santa Sofía, en la zona tienes muchísima oferta de restaurantes ,tours y demás, solo tuve el inconveniente de que pedí un taxi que me recogiera del aeropuerto y no me fue enviado, pero de ahí en fuera espectacular.

Hotel is a very convenient location. Walkable to blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, cistern basillica, the palace, the grand bazaar, and the tram station! Staffs are friendly. The free breakfast was so good. Highly recommend this hotel. Our family enjoyed our stay and love Istanbul.

This experience was a disaster, room was super noise. And when we open the bed it was full of hear we record a video and showed to the receptionist he change us to an other room the cleaning wasn't much better. Then we looked in goggle for the review and we saw a picture taken in the same room with a rat on it. I will never recommend this Hotel and we left early we were very uncomfortable and insecure.

The area The obelisk hotel is located in Sultanahmet, where many of the historical attractions in Istanbul are - because of this, the prices in the area are a little higher. The eateries around Obelisk are the same, but they also have terrace seating with views of the Old City, which in itself is very nice. One thing to note is due to their proximity to tourist areas, some discretion should be exercised when shopping/dining in the area around the hotel. The hotel stay We were upgraded to the unit on the top floor, which has an adjoined terrace on the fourth floor. This gave us a nice view and a very cool space to enjoy dinner and some tea while soaking in the surroundings. The room was clean, spacious and well-maintained. Yunus at the reception wasvery helpful and gave us good food recommendations, and gave us useful suggestions of places to visit. The hotel helped us arrange a transfer to and from the airport for our stay before we arrived, which helped us avoid the hassle of securing transportation at the airport. Breakfast was included during our stay, and traditional Turkish fare was offered for breakfast. This was alright, but we did not check any options outside of the hotel, given what we mentioned about the area being slightly pricier.

Strong little hotel

What a great little hotel. The staff were very polite. The breakfast was decent, although pretty much the same each day but enough varitey to keep you going. The breakfast staff were very tentative and you could order a freshly made omelet. We stayed in a two bedroomed suite. The room sizes are decent with enough room to move about and with good rainfall shower. Location is super. 5 mins to blue mosque maybe less if you are a quick walker. Would happily stay here again. We stayed for 4 nights.
