This is a great hotel to stay in when in Kyoto. It is a 2 minute walk from the main train station, has very comfortable beds (many Japanese beds are extremely hard, but these are more like American beds), and a delicious breakfast buffet with lots of traditional Japanese food or if you prefer there are also western options.
