Not worth the money
This hotel came recommended by a friend who visited during Covid. When I arrived I was not impressed. The pool that is advertised is not the same pool at the resort. The all-inclusive is a joke. There’s only one restaurant that serves a la carte, not buffet so you can have a variety. The portions are small and the food not too great. The birds at breakfast were overwhelming. The dining servers caters to the European first, regardless of was seated first. We witnessed that twice. Maxine was the best server. The room was just okay. It can be a little more modern. The spa was the worst I’ve ever been to. The massage was so rough and hard from the beginning. I left feeling worst than what I did in the beginning, $300 wasted. The private poolside dinner was a waste. We were served steak, mashed potatoes and veggies. The quality of the food was not 4star quality. We nippled off of it and left 75% of it. The beach you have to take a shuttle and it’s very small with a lot of seaweed. The resort is 45 minutes from everything which is very far. We left a day early to stay at another resort and decided to extend our stay there by two days to make up the time we lost at Escape. Escape declined to return our fee for the one night. The resort needs a pool makeover, a different all inclusive dining option, more activities and better spa options.

A peaceful, relaxing, and quality resort.
It was the most relaxing holiday we have had. Staff were excellent, cheerful and very helpful. Lovely surroundings. A shuttle bus to and from the nearby beach. The restaurant was excellent, the four course menus for both lunch and dinner were varied, very well prepared, and presented.

Excellent resort
This is a lovely couples resort and it is positioned in a secluded, quiet setting. Everything about the resort was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and the staff were amazing, we will definitely be going here again

Fabulous place - booked to come back next year .
The escape is a fabulous place , we’ve loved every second . The staff are amazing - all of them - the rooms are great - lovely to have your own pool to come back to at the end of the day . Enjoyed the little hike to the beach each day - loved the private island picnic and the hot stone massage in the wellness centre was fabulous . The restaurant is good and the menu was varied each day , I’m a vegetarian and there was always something I could eat , which hasn’t been the case in other places we have stayed .

Escape Stay
Norah’s was the best receptionist by far. She was very attentive and kind. Helped us set up excursions and made sure we had reservations for dinner every night. The sunset boat ride was the best part of the trip. The two young men were extremely friendly and took us on a small tour around the coast. I will definitely be back to visit. Amazing hospitality!!!!!

Relaxing escape for adults
Great place for relaxing. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is very small. Best to rent a car to explore the country. The restaurant has a great variety. Food not extraordinary, but okay. Well stocked bar with many cocktails available.

This destination is very remote and far from the shopping center which would take about 30 to 40 mins with taxi. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. There is 1 restaurant on site, the many changes daily and you are able to order more than 1 dish on the menu. The birds comes to dine with you in the mornings at breakfast despite them having their own set aside, i have learned that if you sit more in the middle of the restaurant they will not bother you to much. I booked a Swedish massage and Rose was the most sweetest and sincere person, she was very attentive throughout and ensured that i was comfortable and ok throughout the massage, one of the best i have gotten. I would definitely recommend getting a massage done. I loved the private plunge pool and waking up to the sunrise in the pool was the highlight of my vacation. I enjoyed my stay would definitely recommend.

Overall the stay was pleasant. The first night there was really good the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had no worries. The next day the dining staff were not pleasant or went above or beyond as the staff the night before. Ms Maxine and her crew were awesome and check in with you constantly. Her and the other crew made our dining experience awesome. Also there needs to be more entertainment such as a night with karaoke, sip/paint, etc. something to get the guess involved. There nothing close to the resort and the amount for an excursion were not bad but the price to get to the excursions were ridiculous for four people 175 to get dropped off and pick back up was as I stated before ridiculous. I understand that they get their money from people coming to their country, but they shouldn’t have to rob people in order for them to get to an excursion. Other than that my day was pleasant. The food was OK. Some days the food was good other days it wasn’t. But overall my experience was good. On another note, there was no washcloths in the room so we had to request washcloths for at least two days and they found it. They started giving us washcloths with our towels, etc..

Staff were all very nice. Enjoyed the quietness. So peaceful there. Room was great and private pool. Food was good and drinks. One of our Favorite things was the beach and Ivana who worked beach bar. Staff in front lobby were helpful.

Let me just start with the view …. BEAUTIFUL. The resort is about 40 minutes from St. John’s but no biggie .. the staff is amazing. (Front desk) the only issue we had was with dinning . Most ladies were rude .. and the food is limited . There’s a time slot with when you can eat .. the food is very very mediocre…and it smells like garbage where you sit to eat ..it took us about 1.5-2 hours to eat everything we sat down. But that’s okay. truly what saves this resort is the view you get if you choose sea view or partial .

My fiancé and I visited Antigua for the holidays and the staff were so warm and welcoming. We’ve traveled to many different resorts and Nonsuch Bay by far is one of the best. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is the way to go!

Solo black female traveller First time in Antigua Travelled in Dec close to Christmas I loved this small resort. I got the nice quiet, relaxing vacation I needed. The staff was super friendly and they gave me the room closest to the resort amenities which made me feel safe and cared for. Nobody was in my business asking why I was by myself. The most comfortable resort I've been to solo. Customer service was top notch. The cocktails at the bar were delicious and strong. The room was lovely. I loved that Netflix was already connected. The pool in the rooms are deeper than I thought. I'm 5'7" and the water reached above my eyes but there are wide steps and a shallow portion on top. There was no shower door/curtain in my room. I don't know if this is the case for all the rooms so check that inacse you're travelling with someone you don't want to see naked showering.There are birds that will dine with you for breakfast and lunch but they didn't bother me. Limited menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can request to take leftovers. They have some entertainment like live music but it's chill, quiet. They do have books and games. There's also a dock that has kayaks and seats. The views from the resort are beautiful. Check in and check out was quick and easy. They offer some excursions with affordable pricing. There's a shuttle to the beach or a 10 min walk which I do not recommend because it's hilly. There are snacks and soft drinks at the beach also. I will recommend!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we are so glad we chose this property. The resort is beautiful, the room was perfect, romantic and quiet. The staff was super attentive and friendly and really made the stay. We were also pleasantly surprised on how good the food was as it was an all inclusive resort. The difference is that the food was a la carte as opposed to buffets which made it that much better. We would definitely, visit this resort again. The staff made us feel special and appreciated! Well done!
