The Riccarton has good food but it’s not a great place to stay. The room was small and windows were right onto the outdoor seating & terrace. Since we were there on a Monday, there weren’t many people, but even so it was distracting. When I complained about the room being cold I was told nothing could be done. Imagine my shock when I raised the shade completely in the morning and discovered both windows at the top were open - and could not be closed. Finally, I asked for a taxi to be called for 6:30am and apparently the woman never did that because it never arrived. We had a flight to make and ended up calling an Uber.

Ideal place for what we were needing it for, our evening meal was delicious, the corner cafe down the road was ideal for breakfast.

Not close to downtown Edinburgh, but a 30-40 min bus ride. Close to the airport. Nice stay and a great price. The restaurant was good too.

When I went in Riccarton Inn, there was strong and disgusting smell of urine through my nose into my mind that I at once thought I have to leave there immediately, even though I sleep in car all night long and waste my rental money. I hope they would improve after reading my review. (No malice)

Einfache aber saubere Unterkunft mit sehr guter Busanbindung. Sehr freundliches Personal und toller Pub mit freundlichen Menschen aus dem Vorort Currie.

There's a bus stop outside with regular service to the centre. The rooms are big enough for a long weekend break with standard facilities. They offer food and drink which is very nice

Hospedagem incrível! Uma pena termos que adiar a nossa estadia, mas é bem localizado e ainda tem um restaurante/pub na frente. Provamos a sopa do dia (minha esposa amou) e eu provei o hamburguer cheddar e bacon (excelente). Fica a poucos minutos do centro de Edimburgo e a parada de ônibus é bem em frente a pousada. Nota 10/10

It is a truely dog friendly place, everyone so friendly including all the locals, the food is delicious we had a really enjoyable stay, . Only downside was no breakfast but we were told where we could get breakfast and we went to a little coffee shop also dog friendly, and it didn't disappoint.

Arrived and were offered a table for dinner even though we had t booked and they had a group of 20 in for Christmas Fayre. Food was ver good and freshly cooked. Ideally located for travelling into the city.

Staff incredibly helpful. Room small but perfect. Clean and lots of complimentary coffee. Evening meal in the pub was wonderful. Will definitely stay again.
