I recommend that guests double-check and confirm with the front desk whether their deposit will be refunded automatically or if they need to swipe their card in person. I was very frustrated when the front desk employee told me during check-out that I didn’t need to swipe my card to get the deposit refund. However, after driving an hour away, the front desk called me back to inform me that I had to return to swipe the card in person......Lost my time and gas.

Terrible wheel chair access ability
My mom uses a walker and there was no wheel chair access from the wheel chair parking space unless we walked around the block to front doors very disappointed this day and age. The parking was back ally ish was worried about vandalism. And access to the lobby was difficult. Location was decent but I was frustrated by the wheel chair access ability. I'm pretty sure all properties are supposed to be compliant these day

The staff was extremely helpful. I only checked a lower on cleanliness because the lobby bathroom had no toilet paper. I told the front desk staff but a few hours later or still had no TP. otherwise everything was fine.

Disappointing
We were originally in the basement and the room was disgusting. Dirty, bugs everywhere, poor condition, AC/heat was either boiling or freezing. We were then placed in another room and it was okay. Sadly someone had set the alarm in the room to wake up at 530am so that really ruined what should’ve been a peaceful rest. Overall disappointing and certainly not worth the money.

Liked that you are dog friendly. Loved the location and walkable, close to the waterfront boardwalk. Friendly, courteous front desk staff. Easy access to eating places, both take out and dining. Our first time to beautiful Orillia.

We had a couple of small problems with our room on the first night which were out of the control of the hotel itself, however the management were very helpful and receptive and moved us to another room. We would certainly use this hotel again if and when we returned to Orillia. Ideally situated, good breakfast and helpful staff.

This is not a waterfront property. It is a block away from the waterfront, and the area between the hotel and the waterfront is not that nice. Parking is tricky. You cannot park and chek in through the front door. You have to find a parking sport behind the next door restaurant (it's not obvious this is the hotel parking), walk in through a back door and take a flight of stairs to the reception. The front desk clerk who met me wasn't very welcoming. No "Hi" or "How are you" from the clerk. The whole vibe of the conversation with the clerk was like talking to a cop that pulled you over. The bathroom has no hooks or shelves to put your stuff. The area around sink is so tiny that there's no space for toiletries. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay.
Room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Basement rooms are small but comfortable. Booked through a site. Booked a night last minute directly through the hotel and was a nicer and bigger room. Walking distance to all of down town.
