Months after my stay, the hotel suddenly charged my credit card that they had kept on file, without informing me or asking for permission. I had received a receipt showing that everything was paid, so I had no reason to believe anything was missing.
GoHotel Østerport explained that they had made errors in processing customers’ payments over the last year, which they discovered recently during a review.
Mistakes can happen, but charging a guest’s card months later without notice, consent, or explanation is simply unacceptable. It shows a lack of professionalism and respect for guests’ trust and personal data.
I’m sharing this so others are aware, will double-check their payments, and think twice before storing their card details with this hotel.
