NEVER STAY HERE.
NEVER NEVER NEVER STAY HERE. Cannot tell you how unfriendly this host was to the extreme we never got to check in. We paid and went to another hotel. Never in all my years staying across the world in hotels and Airbnbs have a I met a more arrogant host. Stay away from this horrible place. Perhaps we got unlucky, we arrived at 9.30pm with my pregnant wife and told to go away and we were not welcome as have missed check in and the host had decided he wanted to go home. How on earth can this be claimed a hotel, air b and b or any form of vacation rental. STAY AWAY

A gem 10 minutes away from BVA
Despite my late arrival, I was greeted warmly by the proprietor and taken through the courtyard to my room, which was gracious, spotless and stylish with a fantastic shower and many intriguing architectural details. Went out for dinner, watched a band in a local bar, then returned to sit by myself in the beautiful garden and think about how lucky I was to be there. Slept well and woke up to a generous Continental breakfast, which included a delicious homemade cherry clafoutis. All in all, my stop of convenience became a little event in its own right.

Great stay at La Salamandre
My husband and I stayed at La Salamandre and we really loved this place! The location is quiet and just a few minutes walk from the main town square. The owner was very friendly, our room was incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was included and it was great….all the usual options (fresh pastries, coffee, juice, fruit, cereals, yogurt, etc). There is also an outside patio which is nicely set up with a bar but we did not have time utilize it unfortunately. Next time for sure!!

Lovely stay
I'd cycled to Beauvais as part of the Avenue Verte on the way to Paris, I arrived earlier than expected but pretty tired, I hadn't realised that the B&B didn't open until 5pm (this was at 2pm), luckily Stephan came down and opened up early for me. The room I had was stunning and I will definitely be back for a stay with a special friend. Breakfast gets plenty of mentions in other reviews but I found there was plenty of choice to keep me powering toward Paris. Thank you

Great service at the b&b. Very clean and quaint. We ran out of hot water in our suite and was offered another room (the whole floor!). Really accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is a light continental breakfast with a croissant, fruit, juice and coffee. Would recommend

Lovely place!
Absolutely gorgeous small hotel in the lovely town of Beauvais. We had booked another hotel in the town but came across this and swapped. Was such a good move. We stayed in the loft room which was lovely with great views over the town. My only small criticism would be there was limited choice for breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable stay
Clean & comfortable room. Parking was outside in the street if you can manage to find a space. No restaurant or bar on site so feel the amenities info online is misleading. There are restaurants & bars locally tho. Found the host a bit abrupt & almost felt an inconvenience for staying there. Not sure if he lives on site or just turns up at 5pm when guests arrive? Either way he wasn’t very chatty & just gave us our key & told us where the nearest restaurant was & asked what time we wanted our breakfast between 7am & 9am. Breakfast was ok & consisted of a croissant & a piece of cake each & a choice of nuts / dried fruit, honey & yoghurt, apple & banana. Not offered any bread, eggs, cheese or ham. There was a couple of French guests who came down to breakfast & the host was much more accommodating with them & offered them small pots of jam with their breakfast. Maybe they asked for it whereas we just chose from what he showed was on offer. Location was close to the town & felt safe enough to walk to at night. Good sized room but no door on the shower area & no extractor working in the shower or the WC. The bedroom door was straight onto the landing / wooden staircase so no sound proofing at all. It was quiet when we stayed but had it been busy anyone going up or down the wooden stairs would be quite noisy. All in all a comfortable stay but definitely overpriced at £100 for a standard double in March / low season.

Awful
A run-down place - only one chair, only two small glasses of different type and sizes, one big and one small towel for two people, a leather armchair old and torn. Door would not close.

6/10 Good

Great place but check in certainly needs improving
It was a guest house where check in was from 5pm. We arrived early and went into town which was a very close walk. We got back just after 6pm and still no one there. There was no bell or intercom so we rang the number on the door without success. We then contacted Hotels.com who at first try, cut me off!! I rang again and they tried the number without an answer, why, as I had already told them that. Anyway someone then came to the door and let us in. As we were to males we booked the triple room with king bed and single bed. When we checked in the lady asked if we were sleeping together? When we said a resounding no she commented that there was no message of needing the extra bed and so we had to wait while she went to make the other bed. The room was huge and very good, the bathroom was great. At breakfast we saw who we believe was the husband, and although very nice he was at first a bit abrupt. The croissant and pan au chocolate were already set out, one of each on every table. I don't like pan au chocolate, but felt intimidated to point that out, so i put it to one side. As stated as the husband was there all the time i felt intimidated and uncomfortable and didnt enjoy the breakfast. The guesthouse is in a grest location and highly recommend the restaurant just round the corner, food was superb.
