This was one of my favorite stops on a long roadtrip. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was more like an apartment.It was spacious, extremely clean and one of the most comfortable beds ever. It was quiet and peaceful and warm and cosy. My favorite thing about cottage 17 was that the porch was built around a large tree. Would definitely stay again.

Dwight has a gem of a motel. Extremely clean with all the necessary amenities. Plenty of space inside plus a nice deck. Very close to beautiful parks and drives.

Simple cottages and multi room motel units. Nice to have access to a simple kitchen. Easy walk to "town", about 3-5 minutes along the road but no sidewalks. However, you may get lucky and see the cows :) Friendly owner who gave tips about where to eat and what to do with our dog. Units could use a little love but still totally functional.

We stayed with our 2 dogs in the open concept king room (#17). They are designed like little rustic cabins, with a mini kitchenette and a full bathroom! The rooms themselves looked modern and more up to date than some of the older pictures on here. This is definitely a smaller business/operation and you can tell they do some of the DIY themselves but that’s okay! It adds charm and that’s part of the enjoyment of staying at smaller places and not chains. The room had good solid wifi, good air conditioning and heating, the bed was comfy the shower worked great, good pressure. They had cable tv and a smart tv with streaming apps! There was an almost full sized fridge which was great! Normally you just get teeny tiny little mini fridges. We did have an incident where one of our dogs got a hold of the blanket on the bed and started to chew it. We went straight to the front desk and they were so nice and charged a very reasonable rate to replace the blanket they didn’t try to gouge us, and they were super understanding and clearly animal people so it was just a great experience over all! They also recommended great places to eat when we checked in! The bed was comfy! We always bring our own pillows while travelling. But they did have 2 different kinds available. So that’s nice! Overall very quiet area and lots of privacy. Very happy with our stay!
